While this video was informative, especially for those of us who are interested in Whole 30, my favorite part was at 3:20-when you see your face for the first time. This is the first time I have ever came across your channel, so forgive me for being “that guy.” I can genuinely say I have NEVER seen someone as stunning and beautiful as you. Your face is absolutely perfect. Thank you for the video! Now I have some ideas for If and when I start Whole 30.

How do you feel about snacking on the whole30? When I did mine, the most valuable learning experience was to realise I could eat three square meals and not feel the need to snack so much. It was the whole point, in my opinion, to distance myself from food and feel liberated, not thinking about my next meal or snack the entire time. How about you? Did you snack your way through the whole30 or just hadn't figured out the right portion size to allow you not to snack?

So how did your Whole30 go?! What were some changes you noticed?
@avianawyall8 жыл бұрын
+Grace Fuller I think the biggest change I saw was not desiring processed/sugary food during the second half of my whole 30. I noticed that my skin was so much more clear (the first half of the w30 I broke out, because of the change in my eating habits) but even now my skin is so much clearer. During "that time of the month" I didn't have ANY severe cramps or aching which is amazing and so not normal for me!! I didn't notice much weight loss or higher energy though. Definitely worth seeing how your body responds to the changes you make! I'm a lot more cautious about what's going into my body.

I have a couple questions. Do you have a calorie or macro break down of the foods you eat, percentage wise and as for the whole 30 diet, why does it say to not eat a lot of fruit?
@frejalarsen84218 жыл бұрын
Because of the fructose. Fruit is basically sugar, but it's filled with vitamins and nutrients that's why it's also healthy. On whole 30 you limit your carbs and sugars, so that's why it doesn't really go well together

I had broccoli (steamed) and then 2 eggs scrambled with it. Tomatoes and caramelized onions as sides. A big salad with salmon for lunch. Chicken cacciatore for dinner (really yummy!!). Also made a special drink with pureed blackberries, lime, mint leaves and seltzer water. You can eat however much you want to and don't need to cut/count calories.

Breakfast: Egg- 70 calories Zuc. Noodles- 20 (1 cup) Spinach- 40 (1 cup) Coconut oil- 121 (1 tbsp) Total: 251 calories Snack: larabar- 190 Apple- 120 Almond Butter- 190 (she says she'll save them for later so I assume they are both consumed off camera) Snack: 500 calories Lunch: Smoothie-?? Hard to say but had kale (35 calories/cup) Pineapple (80 calories/cup) Ginseng (virtually none, maybe 5) Banana (105 calories/med banana) and Coconut Water (46 calories/cup) It was a small cup so, again, guessing, add them all up and divide by half. Total: 35+80+105+46= 266/2 = 133 Calories Dinner: Divide by 3 as it looks like it was for 3 people (plus she only made 3 patties). Mushrooms- 15 calories. They are 3/calories each and I'm guessing she had around 5 whole mushrooms total. Extra Virgin Olive Oil: 119 calories (1 tbsp) Thyme: Virtually none- about 5 calories Laura's Lean Ground Beef- 560 calories /1lb/16oz Sweet Potato- 150/ medium potato x 2 = 300 Olive Oil x2 (she put about double on this time)- 240 cal (2 tbsp) Total: 15+119+560+300+240= 1234 / 3 = 411 *Grand total= 251 + 500 + 133 + 411 = 1295 calories.* She has an excellent balance of healthy fats, healthy carbs, natural and non refined sugar with great sources of protein. Fat's which make up probably just under half of her food intake (which is good!) are high in calories. She is eating small, nutrient and calorie dense foods. For a lady with her (trying to be careful how I sat this.. lol) level of fitness and build, I'd say this calorie intake level is great for cutting which she may be doing but still enough protein to keep growing and toning muscle. If she wanted to start bulking, she'd was to increase her protein intake by about double, at least but it doesn't appear she needs to : ) The only real issue I personally have with this diet is the amount of sugar that's in it but even that is nit picking as it's all natural sugar. The smoothies isn't the best of all things but lets be real, it tastes great and clearly she is taking care of herself and knows what she can and can't eat. Larabars are amazing and she gets extra points from me for using coconut oil. Great job Aviana!

+Casey Younglove These are the ingredients for the brand of coconut milk I use: organic coconut milk, calcium phosphate, magnesium phosphate, guar gum, xanthan gum, vitamin A acetate, vitamin D2, selenium, zinc oxide, folic acid, vitamin B12. The Whole 30 book uses coconut milk in multiple of their recipes. Also, you're right that smoothies aren't encouraged.. but it's too good to pass up :)

David J the whole 30 is about eating healthier not losing weight, while you can lose weight on it, its about removing additives and processed foods from your diet. Also at the end if the diet you are supposed to gradually add foods back in to see how your body reacts to each food.

I don't know what is specifically non-compliant with this almond milk, some have a carrageenan which is a no-no but if you read the ingredient label you'll be able to tell. Here is a link to the whole 30 additives list. whole30.com/downloads/additives.pdf
@FrannyLuvsAll7 жыл бұрын
Karen Thornton the only Whole30 approved almond milk is one you make yourself with water & almonds as the ingredients. Almond milk is made with additives, and it's the additives that aren't Whole30. There's also the food culture piece about requiring dairy - they're trying to yeah us to not use substitutes bc our bodies don't need dairy.
