Why are youtubers so afraid to just enjoy receiving gifts. I’m so sick of this “I’m so grateful I LOVE to give and hate getting gifts please don’t think I’m materialistic did I mention that I’m really grateful” there is nothing wrong with receiving and there’s noticing wrong with wanting gifts. You’re not this evil person to want other people to think about you and spend time picking out something you like as you did for them.

Ashley G. Exactly. It is ok to enjoy gifts. Everyone loves DIFFERENT gifts. So what they love some bags. I for example asked my hubs to help me redo my mini studio for having a space to work on my blog. This year that was my only wish. But other times i would usually pick bag😍

I disagree. I’m the same age as Sierra and once you’re older and financially independent, it really does take the joy out of receiving gifts. Not that I don’t appreciate people’s thoughts, money, and time, I just need it less in a sense.

I love how you were honest about not really needing anything and how Christmas really isn’t about presents for you anymore. While I make no where near the salary of a KZbinr, I can relate. Now that I’m older and work full time, I pretty much buy what I want and need. “Santa” still gets me maybe 3 small things, but it’s not even about that and I don’t find myself getting excited. It’s an interesting spot to be in when you’re transitioning from associating Christmas with presents to associating it with family and relaxation. I know people say “It’s not about the gifts!” all the time, but I’m beginning to really understand that now that I have the ability to buy myself the things I need throughout the year. This whole video gave a very honest vibe and I’m living for it.
