Almost 5 years into my wonderful relationship and for christmas he FINALLY PROPOSED!! He was so nervous, he was visibly shaking. It was the sweetest thing ever. We're going to my favorite restaurant tonight to celebrate! :) I am SO happy.

You can take a razor and razor off the pilling on the sweater! (I suggest looking it up for the best way to do it) I almost exclusively wear sweaters from the thrift store and I do it all the time to revive them!

Christmas for me included makeup, my sweet hubby got me a cool mp3 player for my audiobooks, he spoiled me with a fantastic coffee mug that is heated!!! Loved that my sons and husband really liked what they got for Xmas. I was also super excited because my nieces loved what we got them this year. I had the opportunity to get my 9 year old niece her first makeup and had so much fun. She was so excited and had me put it on her and let her return the favor. I love that we will have that memory to share. I will have to look for that hoodie since my son loves that show!!! I didn't know that had come out. Thanks for sharing!

My favorite gifts that I got were a fuzzy leopard robe *with a hood,* a new electric toothbrush, a beautiful rose gold diamond necklace with two hearts to represent my kids, and a lifeprint printer. But (as cheesy as it sounds), my favorite gifts were the ones my husband and I got our girls. They had a rough year, I went through two major surgeries ( I basically had to relearn how to walk), and their Nana passed away, so we went a little overboard spoiling them on Christmas. Girl, you are so so so blessed!! What did I get for Christmas? Two zip up jackets “from my parents” that I bought. (One which ended up being too big for me - dang!) Nothing else from no one else. I gave away a butt load of presents... and I’m on disability so I don’t have much money to start with. People have no problem taking but no one thinks of doing anything even something homemade for me. Sigh. I guess Christmas isn’t about the things for this year - it’s about the reason for the season. I didn’t get much for Christmas to open but my best Christmas present was that I was able to have all of my family and my house for dinner and I was not sick when I had spent 90% of my 2019 in bed sick with lupus. I was able to make dinner for my family so that was the best gift I got to be able to have dinner with my family downstairs with my kids was the best Christmas I could have merry Christmas Kathy and happy new year

I made bowl cozies for all of our Christmas gifts this year! Bowl cozies and oven towels. All 50 of them (and 20 oven towels)... that’s 100 pieces of cotton and 100 pieces of batting (and 20 cute dish towels and 20 pot holders)! Needless to say, my sewing machine needs servicing after all this. I will say, everyone was pretty excited about them. They thought that both the oven towels and bowl cozies were really unique gifts. I also gave 2 bags of dry soup mix to go with the cozies. If anyone is thinking of making them, they are super easy and you can use quilting fat quarters which are really affordable! However, if making them, make sure you use 100% cotton everything. 100% cotton fabric, 100% thread, and 100% batting (Wrap N Zap is recommended). Otherwise it will catch on fire in the microwave! I highly recommend TheCraftyGemini’s Bowl Cozies tutorial if you’re looking for a good one!

You can make cookies with the icing gun too...I have the old / vintage spritz gun with frosting gun along with an old Betty Crocker cookie recipe book that includes cookie recipes for both big spritz gun and smaller press / frosting gun (you use those big frosting tips to make star log type cookies etc.).

I’m not done yet but CASSIE... beware of using oil on your oily/breakout prone skin (at least straight oil). I know everyone’s skin is different but I had a bad reaction to using oil on my skin. I have similar skin to yours and using oil really messed my skin up and made it soo much worse. I tried different oils some were much worse than others but none were compatible with me. My main problem was that I kept trying for too long thinking I was in a “purging phase” and/or I just needed to find the right oil. I know some people have great success with oil but I just want to throw that out there because it doesn’t work for everyone and when it doesn’t work it can be bad. (To start I had very oily skin with some breakouts that turned into full blown acne.) Listen to your gut and best of luck 😊
