These are such sweet gifts - it looks like you had a wonderful Christmas! I spent my New Years Eve finishing The Inn of Hopes and Dreams and I am SOOOO sad that it is over!! I could have lived in the world of the Stag forever haha. I cannot wait to crack open the third Independent Hearts book and I know I will be anxiously awaiting the fourth installation after it! Your books are the true definition of a cozy escape.

I got a friend a gift one year and she didn't like it and returned it to me and told me she didn't like it and it was a writing set and I gave it to her because it was in the days before we had the internet and mobile phones so we all had to just write letters and she used to write to someone that she'd met on holiday but when she gave it back to me I used it because I actually really did like it

@@AndreaJSeverson yes Nowadays people rarely write lettets as most have email. Back then nobody had email and so you either wrote by hand on fancy paper or typed a lerrer on an old fashioned typewriter

I love legos! But I don't have the space to display finished sets. Maybe once I get my writing office set up I will have some spots available!

Have space to display finished sets is going to become a problem for me lol! I'll probably create one space and then just display one set at a time before disassembling and moving on to a new set.

I've definitely gotten gifts I wasn't thrilled with over the years. I always pretend to like it. I truly believe it's the thought that counts and no one has to give me anything. Anything I'm given that I can't find use for, I'll hold on to it for a little while and then pass it along or donate it. No one ever has to know. :)
