What I imagined when Panam didn't answer 2 years later | Cyberpunk 2077

When Panam didn't answer V's call in one of the cyberpunk 2077 endings, I felt for my boy. And imagine what would be going thru his head during that moment.

Imo there are no "good" endings, only endings where you lose the least which makes them the "best". There are 2 "happy" endings - The Star and The Sun. One is about glory and the other is about family. It's what you value more.

Panam is the best romance in my opinion. Playing the game it felt like she cared more about V than anyone. Misty cared as a friend and others but Panam just held it down for V. I hope I see her in the next Cyberpunk game

Maybe it has to do with your life path, because she treated my V like dirt, and only settled for him because she was clearly hung up on Saul right until the end when she ditched V to die alone in Night City while riding off into the sunset with him. I get that some people have a thing, but I for one don't prefer women who relentlessly treat you like shit for the entire relationship.

It would have been quite nice to have a sort of secret ending in this ending...when Misty leaves you in the city, the cinematic starts and when V starts to walk, gets a call. The game doesn't show from who but you see V's face starting to look surprised and happy at the same time. And maybe suddenly cuts off when V says "Pan..." and screen fades outs. Just a thought but I don't know, maybe it would be too corny?

I think Victor in that ending was done dirty. The whole game he was not just a bro but more, he actually cared for V and it clearly hurt him seeing what was happening to V. And then in this ending, after 2 years of as far as Victor knew V being dead you show up alive and basically fine and he goes "see you later i'm busy, i got work to do". I know where they were going with it, but still.

I am pretty sure that I heard that the actor who voiced viktor passed way before phantom liberty was finished, so CD project red asked his family if they could use IA to keep and emulate his voice to some lines of dialogues in the ending of the phantom liberty DLC. That is why viktor doesn't say much in the DLC.

Panam isn't dead. Mitch explains how it got to her and says that V shouldn't do that to himself, or to her (Panam). V isn't a child that just had a goldfish die and him Mum just told him it ran away.

Happened to stumble on your video while studying for EE and damn, I just about finished everything in the game again since the expansion came out. I finally put it down and started playing the next games on my list and after watching this video I think I gotta go back one more time to play the panam ending again. Such a beatifully put together edit of the game. I absolutely loved it.

Beautiful video choom, honestly, Panam is a great character, in a game where the world is upside-down and inside-out and so fucked up its downright scary how normal it is, Panam was the few sane people, and when I saw I could have her with V, I knew it was a right choice, cuz in a game where my character loses so much already, its nice to see him win a good deserved fight, you chooms stay happy and blessed, and remember, as the great Johnny Silverhand once said ‘Never stop fighting’

They actually made this ending more sad with patches after the release of PL. They added lines that Panam wrote V when he was in a coma. One of the lines they added, which is the one before the last line: "YOU TOLD ME YOU WERE COMING BACK" Ou... ouch??? 😭

@@emilie1058 It’s the first reaction and the second and Mitch tells you not to call back, which certainly implies that things never got resolved cause she doesn’t want to see you. But it’s not just about that, it speaks about her character and how hot-headed she is. Again I thought it was OOC, the game went out of its way to make you feel alone. But this is now what Panam has become. A hot-headed woman who dumps you immediately cause she has too much difficulty to cope with loss, however is selfish to not see how much others have lost cause she only cares about herself.

Even w/Mitch telling V to not call again, given that this ending sucks in _all_ ways wrt to having nothing and being no one, I think V should track her down and have a face-to-face. Force explain to her everything and the costs involved. Maybe she's still pissed and zero's you anyway for your trouble. Oh well...being not even a sad shadow of his/her former greatness would make me pine for being flatlined early anyway. Being that gimped in the world of Cyberpunk seems like a fate worse than death. Especially having the memories of the before times. Worst ending of all time.

Ah common... I felt like this ending only existed because CDPR are massive Edgelords and didn't wanna give you a happy ending. I mean you finally escape the equivalent of cancer and get the opportunity to life a peaceful life and even get some future prospects in terms of employment and then basically EVERYBODY you know is either in the depressing sh*t or the ones you love don't wan't anything to do with you. It didn't have to be that way although you could call it "realistic" i guess.

I rushed through my first game with Phantom Liberty and the call from Mitch was the only 'relationship' call V got at the end of The Tower. I thought that CDPR missed an opportunity...rather than Panam having an enraged one-sided breakup [what woman wouldn't immediatly melt if she got told 'I couldn't call you...I was in a coma for 2 years'], Mitch saying "Well, she was angry for a while since you disappeared without a word [why without a word...V couldn't have made a few calls?] but now she's married and has a kid, so she's really moved on. Don't call her, V...it would hurt her'. Why does CDPR never consult me about these things? I haven't yet got to the other PL endings so I can't compare...but I think The Tower isn't a bad ending for V. He's still young [about 30, I guess], he's no longer in danger of dying, he still has friends he can call [Misty, Rogue, Vik, Mama Welles?]. Even though a lot has changed, he's not really much worse off than when he first arrived in Night City [aside from the chrome allergy]. Lots of people have had catastrophes in their lives and recovered okay. Even if we never see V again [I'm sure he'll be a Legend in Orion, at least] the thought that he's still out there gives me a good feeling.

Can't really disagree with ya, but a lot of V's relationships are transactional. Without cyberware, V is in no position to help anyone, has no real way to provide for themselves or those around them. It would be like a Michelin level chef who lost their ability to smell or taste. Post-surgery V has the hardest of roads to travel once they get dropped back in NC.

They never say what exactly Panam is doing now, only that she called you 100+ times over the course of a year, fell into a severe depression at some point, and that Mitch doesn't want you to look for her cause he "doesn't want you to do that to yourself-to her." She's probably dead.

Sadly one of the worst (in a bad way) ending. Pondsmith really stuck to " no one gets a happy ending in Night City " philosophy even if it was completely farfetched. It gets hilarious when Reed tells V " but you can't use implants anymore " and I was like "sheeesh like at the beginning of the game (as if it was a problem lmao) " AND when you realize both Judy/Panam outcome are EXACTLY the same even if you don't romance them. Jesus... A rushed game, with a well-made DLC to apologize, but the ending of said DLC is rushed too.

⁠​⁠@@Djinnsenngall I can say is it opens the door for a possible continuation of V’s story if he returns in Cyberpunk Orion someone theory is if he does return for the sequel he probably a super soldier sleeper agent for the FIA and he doesn’t know it cuz you can hear and tell reed wasn’t being totally truthful especially when you ask about songbird and when he was explaining the situation remember reed promised to meet him but didn’t and while V was in the shuttle they put V to sleep they claim if he wasn’t in a coma it might kill him but again this is FIA and NUSA government we talking about here maybe nusa purposely deactivated V Remember how the ai deactivated V’s cyberware in somewhat damaged and he play alien isolation ? They must have used the neural matrix to induce a similar effect in his body sense they had it
