Yes, I understand and see all of what you are saying. My partner is INTP and his Fe is lovely. It gives him a kind of glowing warmth and a solid, stable nurturing presence. As an Enneagram scholar for decades, there is a similar phenomenon. We have our Enneagram number and then another number represents our “soul child”, the part of us we originally hid or buried because we believed it was not acceptable and endangered our ability to stay attached to our caregivers. Yet when this part of us presents itself (because we can’t completely hide it), we, and others experience it in its pure form. Since it’s been hidden and protected, it has not been hurt by the world nor used its qualities in any defensive/manipulative manners. I think similarly, INTPs Fe can be very pure. As an ENFP who has felt traditionally a bit repelled by Fe, my INTP partner’s demonstration of it disarms my bias and I see how much I can learn from him.

Immature thinkers are easy to tell. They dismiss feelings and emotion as weakness. They act superior over feelers. They talk as if only logic can save the world. 😂

In my friend group, there are these identical twins. Not really identical they look different, but you know what I mean. One of them types as an INFP, and one of them as an INTP. They're some of the healthiest people my age that I know of. The INTP one was my roommate for two years, and I will say he used Fe pretty frequently. Yet like you were saying his Fe differs from my own in some ways. For him it seemed more like a background thing. He preferred harmony around people, and was pretty good at maintaining it. However he didn't seem to need to express his feelings nearly as much as my auxillary Fe. That's not to say he didn't need to do it. As I understand it Fe users have to express their emotions outwardly in order to process them, and I don't think it excludes him. I just think he seemed to need it less with it being lower in his function stack if that makes sense. There are other differences, but I wont list them all. The point was I relate to what you are saying. Also I was wondering as someone who also gets on personality database, do you know of some anime or anything really that has an INFJ character? A lot of times I find myself relating to a character slightly, so I check their type on PD, and they say it's something else. Alternatively, are their any that you just enjoyed a lot for whatever reason? I just finished Evangelion, and I found the later part of the series to be really interesting. The weird psychological aspect, and the like dream sequences.

Evangelion is fantastic, one of my favorite anime for sure :) I also find that whenever I relate to a character they often turn out not to be typed as INFJ (often INFP or ENFP). In terms of genuinely INFJ characters, Armin from Attack on Titan would be the first that comes to mind. There are a few in Death Note as well, although not major characters. In Castlevania I'm almost certain that Alucard is an INFJ. In One Piece, I've a sneaking suspicion that Dragon will turn out to be INFJ (or if not, INTJ).

I wonder if the relatively recent conflict in Ireland had an impact on Irish Fe? I think collective and individual trauma if handled well can really strengthen people while softening them at the same time. I’m half English half Scottish but a big fan of the Irish. They could be explaining the inner workings of an washing machine to me and I would still think they were singing me a folk song.

Of course the functions are different depending on how strong they are and possibly their position in the stack

Hey Renaud, I have a question. How do INFJs appear extroverted?
@RensRoom4 жыл бұрын
Hi Hazimo! They can appear extroverted if/when they engage in Fe, because Fe is probably the function that appears the most 'extroverted' of all the functions.
