It’s taken me years to get just the right combo of handbags. The most important thing was buying bags that suit my lifestyle that I can use worry free and not buy for my fantasy self. I have 5. A day/night bag, a run a quick errand phone case & coin pouch combo, an envelope bag that fits all my essentials, a crossbody when traveling or want to be hands free and a statement bag when I am feeling extra. I want to add a mini woven summer tote. I finally feel at peace purse-wise.

I bought 8 high end pre-loved bags. They were expensive and I was worried they would be accidentally ruined or stolen or I would be robbed. I NEVER used any of them and ended up selling all of them back to Fashionphile and the Real Real. I finally realized these were all for my fussy fantasy self. With my current 5 bags they fit my lifestyle and wardrobe. I am not afraid to use them. If something happens to them, oh well.

My favorite purse style is the envelope/clutch purse-normally just need enough space for my phone cards and keys. Feel like want to buy bag more suited to special occasions. All of my purses are more casual. For me probably only need 3-4. One for everyday, one for travel and evening bag.

Thanks Kim! Love the tip about the backpack. Mine is rather heavy, I’ll think about adding a smaller one, hope I will reach for that more. I have 3 small evening bags a neutral metallic somewhere between gold and silver, a red glittery one and a blue satin one with a gold chain. Aside from these I just like to think of my bags in terms of colour, and they are all a similar size. My wardrobe colours are black, chocolate brown, navy, olive green, red and pink/plum. So I want to have one bag in each of those colours to mix and match with my clothes. Plus a natural texture for the summer like a woven basket bag. ❤❤

Great insight as usual, Kim! Love the new coral scarf. My essential bags: everyday bag, smart travel satchel/(convertible) daypack/crossbody, bigger sporty backpack, work tote/hobo bag with crossbody strap, weekend/beach bag, formal/evening bag, camping rucksack, fun small-medium crossbody (eg camera bag/I have a bright yellow circle bag - like your pop of colour bag), bumbag, cabin & normal luggage. I could merge the everyday & smart travel bags, and maybe the weekend bag & bigger backpack, and forego the camping rucksack (can’t remember the last time I used it but can’t imagine ever camping without it) to get the whole number down from 11 to 8. Trouble is, I like bags in too many different colours + black/brown (or both) in every type. But this video gives me a place to start in whittling the collection down a bit more than I already have. Thank you.

I have a summer tote (open top leather) and a winter tote (zip top waterproof fabric); a crossbody for winter in a dark neutral, light crossbody in spring/summer; pop of colour crossbody; a top handle bag for evening. That is 6 bags, and I’m pretty happy with that number. I’d like to replace my winter crossbody with a larger bag. I’d also like to add a monochrome bag to my wardrobe. I need a new wallet for spring and summer so I’m looking at a light colour wallet on a silver chain, to see how I like wearing one.

For me, i have 2 bags that i use, i used to buy alot of bags (and mini backpacks) but i went thru them and only have 2 purses now, one purse is a Kate Spade Small Satchel, and the other purse is a Polene Un Nano (i dont know if im spelling it right) but its a dupe of that bag (since i cant really afford the actual one, got the bag off a discount), that i got off of Amazon, it holds up pretty well, since i started using it haha. But thank you for the tips on the bags and tips in general. Im starting to love to be minimalist now haha.

Purple. I do love a purple purse (not oxblood-a true purple) and I wear a lot of blue, so the purple usually fits in pretty well overall. For me, I’d probably choose between 7 and 10; now if I could just get it down to that…😂

How many I could go down to? 4ish 1. bigger summer/travel/work type 2. more rounded smaller green one for every day 3 and 4 being white/cream and navy ones that could be dressed up or down I definitely want to travel light and not have to clean out a bag that feels like the clown pants with everything in it lol

I wish I was a minimalist, but I am so far away from. I am a purse addict and have so much bags, more than I can carry in my live. But when one purse new come in, another must go , normally😅 but if I can only have one purse, than I decided to my coach cassie in black, have the lv metis style ( I have too😅). But so I love all my baby’s so far…. Have also Polene cyme mini, un nano, neuf, neuf mini, huit, dix and so much more others designers and non designers😅 not minimalist😮 but practically and for life works coach Cassie black, Polene cyme in cognac mini or normal, vee collective (light and practical a German brand) multiple models and colours, but I love the mini sized vee brown and porter medium beige or brown), Polene un nano, a Adventure backpack.
