Handy tip for you and putting your waterproofs on. Always carry a plastic carrier bag with you. Put your foot in the carrier back (with your boot on) and your foot will glide through the waterproof trousers. Swap to the other foot and repeat. Trousers on in seconds. I have uk size 13 feet. As you can imagine, my bike boots are akin to ski boots. Waterproofs still go on really fast :-)

Was on a tour many years ago where all the hotels were arranged for you. Rode 3 hours in the pouring rain to get to the hotel in Annecy, France. Most of my rain gear worked well except for my "waterproof boots". Got to the hotel & actually poured water out of them. Lucky the hotel had a hair dryer & all was dry by the next morning. Now have rubber booties to put over them.

We rode the B500 about the same time as you guys but in the opposite direction, part of it was closed the way you were going due to resurfacing. Not sure how far we rode that day, but we had breakfast in Italy, lunch in Switzerland and tea in Germany!

As far as the Schnitzel goes, we have them in different variations.Sometimes with and sometimes without breading. And you usually get a salad as a starter.

Rich , Seriously Respect to you both. I ride alone. Wife now prefers horse & dog s to bikes .(& me) For me..Budget accommodation, 4 walls & roof , preferably, private parking & private bathroom. I often spend more on good food than accommodation . But,, everyone to their own. If you need a Good mechanicic. In Bratislava , Slovakia . I know 1. I'm with Eva I always get soaked then put my water proofs on after. Those air beds sometimes leak at the valve put some vassline on the valve to soften it up .

I rather put them on before the textiles get wet as they are a bugger to dry properly after. I tried putting soapy water on the valve but couldn’t see any bubbles?

Hi food and fuel varies so much from person to person, what do you eat, where you like to eat? Restaurants or supermarkets and cook your own? Same with fuel really, what bike you have how far you like to ride a day etc

It's so weird as when you rest your hand on it goes to the floor and I thought naaaaa this will be shite but when you lay on it it's amazing and comfy and folds up so small. I live in Australia so when you said you had organised tyres in a place 3 countries away 300 mile . I had to laugh 😂 to day I traveled 600 kms and it will be another 600 kms to home tomorrow . I do envy your travels but it all seems to small for me 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Appears to be a Coupe DeVille Convertible. Rare enough in the states, outside a museum. Unbelievable to see one in Europe! It was the early "space age" in 1959, hence the large tail fins. A styling trademark of big American cars until the early-mid 1960's.

Yeah… turns out as we found out days before our last tour the panniers don’t go on my bike… So it seems the 2020 model does not come with the mounts for the boxes. You can order the mounts but this then meant removing the topbox that’s fitted and then buying the Honda rack, top box and grabrails meaning I now need to also remove the rear crash bars…. Long story short it like most things was not as easy as planned! We are planning to change to some soft luggage

Our advice is to buy soft panniers, these are expensive and will break the first time you drop the bike as we found out in Spain when a van reversed into Ewa.

@@davidarchibald5578 We have the same issue carrying cameras and kit for filming. We think the combo of lockable top box and soft bags makes sense for us. But none of it is secure really the hard cases are opened with a screwdriver if someone wants it they will take it regardless
