Well done my friend. I too haven't brewed a sour or NA beer before. Quite the challenge to be thrown your way, but well thought out and sounds like it turned out delicious. Cool to see you moving up in the KZbin world and working with some of the bigger brew names in the community. Now off to check out Hops and Gnarly. 🙃 Cheers!

Cool stuff. I did my first kettle sour recently and it turned out pretty well. Gonna try the Philly sour yeast next time

Nice one. I was wondering : do you actually need to add yeast? You already had a small fermentation with lacto and have a small enough starting gravity to go directly to force carbonation, no?
@vbence122 жыл бұрын
You could but my guess would be that the yeast is added for the "flavour" rather than fermentation. So the importance depends on the style.
@TheBruSho2 жыл бұрын
That's a great question, I guess you could totally do that, I was just going with normal yeast to be traditional to beer making but I don't see why that wouldn't work for you
@paskrell2 жыл бұрын
Sounds delicious. Why not pasteurising to kill yeast??
@TheBruSho2 жыл бұрын
Technically I did a chemical pasteurization. But you could do a heat pasteurization as well, it might just impact flavor
@RecipeswithBen2 жыл бұрын
Great Collab! Do you think you could build in complexity into a NA beer by doing a decoction with the grain?
@TheBruSho2 жыл бұрын
Not a half bad idea, or maybe try using more flavorful but low fermentable grains as well. Worth a shot for sure.
@RecipeswithBen2 жыл бұрын
@@TheBruSho It would probably work best with a NA czech Pilsner and would add depth without adding a ton of fermentables. I have yet to actually try a decoction for a homebrewed beer but it is something I want to try in the future. Keep up the great video content!

NA sour? Gross. Why?
@TheBruSho2 жыл бұрын
It was a challenge, thats why
@leehaseley21642 жыл бұрын
Why not, dude? Trying something new and putting yourself to the test is a wonderful experience. Also, why is enabling people to drink AND do other things such a bad thing in your opinion?
@joshuastacy23712 жыл бұрын
@@leehaseley2164 I'm bias. I hate sour things, and most of all sour beer. Sour beer is pure awful. Therefore sour non-alcoholic beer is both disgusting and pointless IMO.
