Sound like you had some good takeaways from your first tournament. I’d encourage you to keep playing more tournaments and not be too worried about “getting better first” as that will come from more tournament experience. Also one note when you wanted to play a benko you should start with 1…Nf6 that avoids move orders where they don’t play c4 (:

@@Leo-jj8du might want to check out something like lichess 45-45 league then. I still wouldn’t say it’s fully comparable to otb but it’s the closest you’ll get in an online setting to that level of competition.

@@Leo-jj8duanother word of advice, if you ever get into that problem where the opponent doesn’t play c4, then just know that the main plan is to play a6, then b5 and expand on the queenside. I’m a Benoni player myself and the example you show in your video is actually fine for black despite the lopsided evaluation.
