The eyebrows still on fleek in 2019. Happy 2019. This video is helpful especially for seniors. I’m not there yet but it is ok it is still helpful and interesting to see. I like these kind of vlogs and I hope you keep up the weekly vlogs in the new year(thanks for using my idea it makes me feel like a part of the community). Also you gushing over DC is a breath of fresh air and makes me thankful of the place I live because I have lived here for quite a bit and it is not that interesting anymore but watching you makes me think that I am lucky to live in DC. Being an international student who just finished the challenging but fruitful first semester ever here in the US, I’d say that loneliness/anxiety (sometimes even aggravated by heavy workload) is such a common issue and U’re definitely not the only one who feels so. The process of adjustment can be painstaking and longer than U expected, but just be patient and stick to the right path, expecting it will all work out some day :p Cheers

I had a question about GW’s financial aid in particular since I just finished applying. Everyone is saying their financial aid sucks, but I would like to know in what aspects? Like do they not give out money that much in general or are most students even though they show that they’re in need of financial aid, still having to pay the majority of the tuition? Thanks!

Olivia Lee I have a friend who goes there, this won’t really answer ur question but I applied too and I would want to know if I were u. So GW is picky in the sense that they will only give money to “poor” ( I used that term loosely bc Idk what the exact guidelines are for poor) students who are extremely well-rounded and will be remarkable attributes for the institution. Let’s say you’re an idiot but ur family is dumb stupid rich and u can afford all of tuition, so ur most likely to be accepted bc cha ching duh. If ur middle class maybe upper middle class and ur grades aren’t spectacular but they’re better than let’s say the really rich person’s, they’ll either reject you are accept u, but require u to pay a lot of the tuition even if they are fully aware of your financial standings. Eventually leading u to not go there bc unlike the idiot, ur not filthy rich and can’t spend the rest of ur life paying off debt for an overpriced school in the city. So yes, my friend told my in that case IT REALLY SUCKS. It’s an expensive school in the city, it needs to keep everything going by charging people a brick, WHICH SUCKS!:( I hope everything turns out for you though, good luck !

Well you have to signup at CI orientation so you don’t really get an option for timing, but i’d suggest memorizing the class code called the CRN so you can type them in quickly to get your class. Also congrats!

I have never ever heard of Black men being bad at math. Don’t blame your race, blame the quality of your high school. I am a black male and I am also a 2nd year Math Major at Amaerican and I am doing very very well at math

It definitely is a common stereotype lol. We stereotypically and statistically don’t preform as well in STEM fields as a community. Wasn’t meaning to use race as a scapegoat, just trying to change the narrative a bit.

Are you in the honors program at GW? Do you think some of the problems you mentioned (w scheduling, etc) might be better for honors students?
