Mary and Bert wed young, hoping to start a family. After unsuccessfully trying for 4 long years, Mary finally conceived a baby. Around 7 months into the pregnancy, after the nursery had been prepared and they had chosen a name for their son-to-be (Harold), Mary tragically lost the baby. Bert immersed himself in his work as a chimney sweep to avoid his sorrow. Mary never quite got over the loss, and decided that in becoming a travelling nanny, she would never truly be without child. Though they parted ways, they still sometimes share a lingering glance, and perchance, a dance.

Thank you so much for compiling this beautiful piece. I know it sounds weird, but when the kids started singing and especially when Bert started singing, I wept. My family didn't own many movies due to lack of money, so we watched what we did own many times over. Mary Poppins was one of those we watched a few times per month. It was a really important part of my life, and listening to this brought back that happy, nostalgic feeling it gave me. Thank you.

This film always reminded me of the relationship between me and my dad. He was always working and we got very little time together when I look back. One of my fondest memories, though, is a spontaneous day-trip we did to London, where we just wandered and took in everything that London is: a place of magical wonder for a northern kid. The way that Mr Banks' relationship with his children is saved hits a lot closer to home than it used to, though, since I lost him suddenly six years ago. We never got to get that kite-flying moment, mainly from his work and me being an angsty teen. I can't describe how or why, but this helps me to relive some of those unforgettable moments I had with my dad. They were fleeting, like going to London for a day, but I will always cherish them. Pogo, you have my heartfelt thanks for being an incredible musician and for helping me to reminisce.

I just noticed today that Julie Andrews is so beautiful... her face is gorgeous... how did i never notice this b4... this whole 38 years of watching mary poppins and i just noticed hoe unbelievably stunningly beautiful Julie Andrews is... she never had relied upon her looks... which is incredible... she could have most definitely relied on her beauty to make money but she never has... 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 it gives me hope for these young women... it breaks my heart when gorgeous women destroy their faces... if only they could take lessons from Julie Andrews or Judy Garland and invested their time into having talents and developing gifts... God this is a sign for me that there are talented amazing women out there that arent selling their beauty or face... thank you God... truly thank you so much😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

Perhaps your best yet! Impressive mixing of not only tiny sound "moments" (which we've seen you do through out) but many more complete sound bites (like Jane and Michael's letter and when the soldiers are marching) and newly created realistic (if not absurd) dialogue about taking medicine at 6:01. And a beautiful bonus in turning "I does what I likes" into major key! And love what you did with the bird's sound :^)
