Hi Michael great demonstration, i will get this Pedal. i had the Big nano Muff mini but sold it as i was not happy with the sound. One Question if i run this Pedal with a Octaver effekt would you place the octaver before or after the Fuzz?

I got mine for under 100 CAD shipped and was happy with that. Running the before and after knobs independent from each other and the mod switch makes this the most versatile fuzz I've ever come across and with its build quality and price I would definitely call it a sleeper. I wish DOD was still around to make more of these. :'(

Great review. I absolutely love this pedal. One of the best fuzz pedals I’ve ever tried at any price. So many great tones available, and it has no issues stacking with other pedals in front of, or behind it. I run an EQ pedal after mine to shape the tone to my liking and it works like a charm.

one of the best fuzz out there, a total sleeper, the ONLY few complaints i have about it is the switch, too clicky, the LED is too bright, and sometimes i miss the absolute chaos and growl from a dimmed germanium fuzz in front of dimmed amp! this even at the highest chaos settings is still getting a great definition in notes, it's really not a fuzz for everyone, but it's an amazing one!

Good stuff mate. Gotta love the King in Yellow. The DOD Looking Glass is also a great pedal. Really nice overdrive. Complements the Carcosa very nicely, separately or stacked.

Great fuzz pedal. I really struggle with fuzz tones. For me, that one covers a lot of ground. For some reason I keep buying fuzz pedals though 🤷‍♂️ I think I'm more in the Big Muff style camp.

Your demo sounds great! That intro jam is exactly what I want! But Im torn between Carcosa and Warm Audio Foxy Tone! Have no idea which to get. I have a difficult time finding a fuzz I like. Certainly dislike Muff style and modern fuzz.

great pedal. I have one but why, my god, why is that blue light so bright? what was DoD thinking putting a search light in that box? or were they not thinking? Had anyone on DoD Carcosa team had ever gigged? Just try to gig with it in a dim place and you might be sued for assault on the eyes of the audience Or was it how they cut costs by getting loads of lights every other pedal builder had refused?

Bought one last week. My first fuzz pedal. Immediately tried it with my bass tuned in C standard. Can't tell if it's voodoo or black magic, but it's perfect to get an absolutely dirty and massive tone without it turning into a humongous mess ( Though you need to get used to how it reacts before you get the best of it.). Tried a Proco Rat ( I know, it's an OD, not a fuzz.) once and hesitated between it and the Carcosa for the sound I was looking for. Will stick with the Carcosa. Great sounds you got there with it.

Was Loving on this Fuzz, then fell down the Fuzz Rabbit Hole...have now been using a Germanium Fuzzface style pedal. Carcosa can definitely cover a lot of ground, but is noisy. Was just looking around at some very expensive pedals and thinking about cleaning house to give myself a music budget again? Love what Doyle and Gary Clark do with Fuzz, still want to have the option? How does this sound through your 5e3?

How does your Fuzzface do infront of a wah? Does it need a buffer? Have you tried the Red Velvet Fuzz?

@@readlesspraymore4686 Sorry, for the long response, but I love guitar Tone! I prefer the Fuzz in front of the Wah Wah sound wise. You should try both ways? It’s a very different effect either way. The 5e3 is a very loose, overdriven sounding amp. You really don’t need a Fuzz? little bit of boost, and the sound starts to fall apart…in a good way. I have since purchased a Dr Z Z28, which is a great, versatile Americana amp. It takes Fuzz nicely, and stays tight! I have discovered that a good overdrive sound gives me most of what the Fuzzface was doing without falling apart, and I use a spitty Zonk/Tone Bender style pedal for the over-the-top fuzz Tone. Using more of a gain stages approach, as the amp sounds AMAZING on its own. I could use a Fuzz-face instead of the OD + Fuzz, as an sparking cleanup>overdrive>Fuzz sound off my guitar volume, but the Germanium FF doesn’t have the spitty top end, and gets pretty loose when full out? The Zonk also gets really gated, when you roll back the volume, which I like. The demos I have seen of the Red Velvet Fuzz make me believe that it is a really good Fuzz-face style pedal? Carcosa is still a great pedal, and I could totally get by with it in the Fuzz slot! There are too many options!!!!! It’s worth sitting down and thinking about what kinds of Tones you actually use in the music that you play? I love different guitar Tones, but would never sit down and randomly program some multi effects unit, or build some super board, unless I REAALLY needed it. My goal is to have the sounds that excite me, on a small, easy to use board, that I can easily carry. Octave-up, Fuzz, Wah, Overdrive, Delay, Strymon Flint for Tremelo and Reverb, Buffered Tuner
