I really resonate with what you said about quitting social media! That's what brought me to KZbin. Longform content is so much easier on the brain to both create and consume! I no longer keep the apps for Instagram or Facebook on my phone.

I quit social media. And also reading news. ( I am from Ukraine 🇺🇦 and I still live here) I pray for the peace in my country and realised that knowing all these horrible news won’t bring peace into my heart. Also I quit painting my nails. I wear makeup only when I have mood for it (approximately once a week) Trying to quit doing everything perfect and being a strict mom to my 3 kids (also I’m pregnant with a fourth child)

I am 23 and recently married. My husband and I both have struggled with caring too much about what our families think and wrongfully thinking of ourselves as kids who need their family's approval on everything. But after we got married, we both felt a weight lifted off our shoulders and like some chains were broken in regards to our need to have other people's approval. We have started our own family now as husband and wife (and will be having kids in the future) and we are gaining the confidence in ourselves and in our marriage to be accountable to God & each other and no one else. We have had so much peace knowing God equips us to make powerful decisions that glorify him. We quit thinking of ourselves as incapable people who need approval from everyone else and started understanding that we are children of God who gives us strength and confidence in Him. We quit people pleasing, as the only one we should aim to please is God.

WOW this is such powerful revelation Ashley! I like what you said that God will equip you to make the right decisions. It’s an ongoing process but you have your mind in the right place. Sounds like you have your marriage built on firm foundation in Christ ♥️ praying blessings and children for your marriage and future 💕 thank you so much for sharing your heart with me. I’m so glad we connected 🥰

I stopped folding laundry years ago (we all use bins in a cube shelf to keep it organized) and cooking everyday! I batch cook dinners to lighten the load and allow more time to enjoy my kids 🥰

I loved these points, Daisy. I'm trying to purchase fewer things, not eat out as much, stop complaining in my head about my imperfect home etc. Loved the tone of this video ❤

Hi Daisy, i am new to your channel. Thanks for this video! Happy to see a 'not so Pinterest home' because you accept the season youre in! I am curious to your other videos and about minimalistic thinking in a materialistic world as a busy mom of 4. I quit trying to 'make something of my evening' (and then almost fall asleep) I accept that i need rest and sleep and will function way better next day when i wake up early. God bless you!
@mrsdaisymamaАй бұрын
I love your comment ☺️ thanks so much! “Make something of your evening” is so real, sometimes just unwinding IS the “event.” Thanks so much for watching, I’m happy we connected!

Great tips. I also stopped selling everything and advertise on free sites. I love to see how happy people are when they can't believe you gave them something free. 😊 You are so right about the seasons of life. I raised 4 children and now in the empty-nest season. I loved being a stay-at-home mom and miss it somedays.❤ Thank you for sharing.

I love giving things away on Buy Nothing FB groups as well! Aww congrats on raising 4 beautiful children. I pray you enjoy the current season as empty nesters ❤️ Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’” (Acts 20:35)

I am in the process of letting go of stuff. I enjoy organizing and find a way to pack MORE stuff and it looks neat but the Lord has been working on me. LESS STUFF. Life is so short! It is so important to be Holy Spirit led and connect with my husband and kids! People’s souls are eternal. Stuff is not eternal. Keep the stuff that serves a purpose but that stuff at the back of the closet is just collecting dust. Get it out!

I quit Instagram almost a year ago after having an account for many years. I have noticed that mentally I feel such a load taken off and I have really delved into experimenting in my kitchen, learning and trying new things, and actually doing things with my life and my kids! 😂 the pros of quitting far outweigh the cons!

Oh my goodness same here! It’s a relief on so many levels. Not everything needs to be shared and that’s allows me to truly be present and enjoy the moment more. Thank you for sharing, it’s cool we can relate on this ☺️

I TOTALLY agree about social media and the difference between KZbin. I’ve always stayed off social media , then I decided to get on Instagram. After, a year and through prayer and fasting God told me to get off. I feel soooo freee , and there is no monitoring. However , I live KZbin ,it’s totally different
@mrsdaisymamaАй бұрын
I'm glad it's not just me that sees it that way! I try to be very thoughtful about what I consume on social media, I curate my feed based on what I WANT to fill my mind with. I totally see YT as a way to connect and learn from other sisters in Christ. Thank you for chatting with me 💕

Love this Daisy! 🌼 You look gorgeous ❤ have been wanting to declutter more lately and definetely need to stop holding onto so many things (like my kids toys, that’s one I feel guilty about getting rid of since I know I’m going to have more kids… but at the same time, kids don’t need THAT many toys 🧸and it’s one of the main causes of my everyday stressors how many toys are around. Dining for this week to get it done 🙂

Girl I totally understand! And completely agree, the less toys the better. My toy closet is getting real full, it's time to declutter for me too!

Hi Daisy, I'm Daisy and new to your channel. I've been searching for more christian content. Your doing great. Keep going. It's helpful to see content I can relate to on this new journey to grow closer to God. Especially finding like minded women. Thank you❤
@mrsdaisymamaАй бұрын
Hola tocaya! 😅 I’m so glad you were able to connect with my content. It truly is important to find a community of women, even if it’s online ♥️ are you attending a local church? I have made so many close friendships when I got plugged in
@daisycovarrubias9722Ай бұрын
@mrsdaisymama 😄 Hola Amiga, I currently only watch the live online as I recently lost my 🚗 I really only have one friend I can discuss this topic and share this journey with. Los demas r still stuck on worldly things. I have kind of been in an isolation period and just focusing on my little family and God and learning who I am in gods eyes not who the world made me to be. But I'm happy yo join and learn and grow and develop new friendships.
@mrsdaisymamaАй бұрын
I have been through that. When I first surrendered my life to Christ, I went through pruning and basically left all the friendships I had made because they were not good influences. I ended up eventually becoming lukewarm because I had nobody to help me grow. That’s a big reason why I have this KZbin channel because I understand and have lived through not having friendships in real life to help us walk out our faith. Keep reading your Bible, praying and seeking Him in everything you do. I’ll be here to help as much as I can in your struggles ☺️
@daisycovarrubias9722Ай бұрын
@mrsdaisymama amazing yes I realized I was being lukewarm, I have made many changes but what can you recommend to having more discipline to be more consistent with reading the bible and praying daily. I pray several times a week and read my devotionals but like like how I should. It's hard.

I like your list. Thanks for sharing. I should quit instagram. I won’t quit buying frozen veggies pre cut 😅 so great for prepping a lot of freezer meals at once! I’ve recently quit having my phone by me in bed…. It is in the other room charging on do not disturb and this helps me a lot at night 😴
