Lemme just say a big thank you for getting me to read Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. MY GOD. It was nasty in all the good ways (I have a thing for "gross" writing), and the claustrophobic sickly sweet atmosphere really worked (like, I FELT dirty reading this), and the twist (even though I had an inkling for who it was) felt conclusive. The relationships portrayed between the characters felt genuine, and I could feel the pain, the feelings of being smothered, and the itchiness in every word. Sharp Objects gets a 5/5 from me, and I totally recommend it to those who like nasty thrillers.
