What I Spend in a Week as a 24 Year Old Living in NYC

Hello friends of the internet! Wanted to share this video with everyone with the hopes that it provides a transparent overview of how I choose to budget my money and live out my 20s in New York City!
Of course, this will look a bit different from person to person depending on what your goals are while you are living in the city and truth to be told: to each their own.
Some people are foodies are truly value spending money on eating out and trying new restaurants and others people prefer to spend more on other experiences.
As long as it makes rational sense for your budget, you choose how you spend your money and don’t let anyone else tell you other wise!
Hopefully this helps anyone who might be planning to move to nyc in the future or if you already do and are looking for some advice on how to budget in the city.

Really enjoyed the video but I’m blown away. Your prices at TJ’s are the same as mine and I’m in a suburb 45 minutes out from Chicago 😮 The restaurant prices are slightly higher but not by much!

I think TJ is actually price stabilized regardless of geography! Which is why for NYC standards, TJs is pretty cheap but in other places, TJs may actually be more pricey!

I have roommates! And also if you watched my apartment hunting/apartment tour video of when I first moved to NYC, I moved during 2020 when there was nobody was in NYC and I happened to catch a deal with a rent stabilized apartment!

How did you find $1382 room in downtown Manhattan? Even share rooms seems impossible...

I think the key is trying to get in when the market is low and try to catch a rent stabilized apartment(you can ask when you tour a place for example). If you watched my apartment hunting/apartment tour video of when I first moved to NYC, I moved during 2020 when there was nobody was in NYC and I happened to catch a deal with a rent stabilized apartment!
