as a fellow youtuber, I always love how thoughtful and intentional you are in all of your videos; this one is no exception! ❤

I think the first video I ever saw of yours is that what I spend in a week from 2 years ago and I’ve been watching ever since! Love that you’re bringing finance videos back

As someone living in DC in their 20s, this video (and your channel in general) is so helpful! I really appreciate your content and perspective :)

love the finance videos! i also agree with you as far as spending more money post grad than undergrad. i have been much more careless lately, where i used to keep track of very dollar.. would love if you could include rent/bills additionally next time.

I’m so glad I found your channel! You are literally such an inspiration. I’m currently in school for graphic design and I want to move to dc so badlyyyy after graduation 😭❤️ are there a decent amount of jobs in that area

I’ve always loved your finance videos, Amy! I agree that I’ve been spending a bit more than I used to right out of undergrad. I graduated in 2017 and I was way stricter with my budget then - I need to get back to those budgeting roots (I say this as I am about to go get coffee! Haha) Edit: call you mother is so expensive!! Last time I went to their Georgetown location my bagel was $12 😭😭

I'd love to know more about how much money you make at your 9-5 vs. your other streams of income. I'd also be interested in learning how you grew your channel and the challenges you faced along the way and what advice you would have for people starting in 2022!
@amyrauch2 жыл бұрын
would love to do that but unfortunately, am not super comfortable sharing specific details on my 9-5 too heavily on my channel right now :( i would guess its roughly 75% of my income as ive really stepped back from a lot of social media work this year!!

This is such a good video! And I loved hearing your raves and rejects on meals and coffees 😂 Why can’t Dunkin just get it together….they can be 11/10 and 0/10. It just doesn’t make sense.

the only thing reliable about dunkin is how unreliable it is LOL

almost $500 a week in DC is higher than you expected? as a foreigner who watches a lot of US youtubers, this actually made me feel better that for a down to earth person the cost of living isnt that high
@amyrauch Жыл бұрын
i certainly have weeks where i spend over $500, but those are usually related to shopping/travel/going out for a bigger night on the town. i dont think $500/week is totally unreasonable, more so it surprised me bc i felt like i didnt make any big or exciting purchases so i was surprised at how quickly everything added up
