I like that you are tracking because I have only heard that NYC is super expensive and you basically have to pay for everything, everywhere. When it comes to drinking and eating….us NYers are known for our coffee shops (it’s best to buy locally), baconegg&cheese on a roll (usually it’s one word) bagels with cream cheese (from of course a local deli), pastrami sandwich (Katz is widely known but it is slightly overrated), cheesecake (Juniors hits every time) and our pizza. Be careful when talking to locals about what the best pizza spot is in the city though…..those are fighting words, and us NYers are real passionate about our food specifically our pizza, and every local has their favorite spot, and will recommend their favorite spot.
