Here's what I spent in Switzerland and England (London and Oxfordshire) in March of 2023!
Here are common credit cards people open to earn points, you can learn more here (scroll down for advertiser disclosure):
Amex Platinum: cardonomics.com/i/shelby/the-...
This card gets you lounge access to Delta SkyClub, Centurion Lounges & Priority Pass
Delta Reserve Amex:

This is the card I use! It's great if you fly Delta a lot (but not if you don't). You get lounge access but only when flying Delta.

@@EvanLikesCake fast food is under $15. You can go out and buy a $200 plate but for normal people even on a date night my meal would never be over $35. With drinks ok maybeee $60 but that's a lot of alcohol with a full meal.

Lodging was cheap & clean. Traveling on Bullet Trains & local mass transit was inexpensive & easy. Of late I am doing more travel packages but as I am getting older I don’t mind spending more money. I loved hearing about the using of Air Miles to fly internationally.

I love Harrods. The food court is something else. We enjoyed walking around the store & were amused at incredibly expensive items. One of my favorite places in London is the church of St. Martin’s in the Fields, on Trafalgar Square. In the basement they have a first rates cafeteria with diverse & great tasting food. In the Church itself they do evening musical performances several days a week. We saw plays on the West End. Across the Thames they have the rebuilt Globe Theater. They do Shakespeare from the spring to the fall as it is an opened to sky theater. It also has a year round museum for Elizabethan Theater.

This was really interesting, thank you for breaking down the prices! I'm planning a big solo trip to Europe and because of your video I have decided I will be getting groceries and making my own food in Switzerland 🤣 With no-one to split the costs with that $85 a day would add up fast for me! haha :) Also, the USD exchange rate is doing waaayyy better than the Australian dollar, you're lucky! currently 1 AUD = 0.61 Euros and 1AUD = 50 british pounds...we're losing half our money with the exchange rate alone! it does mean that it's a good time for you to visit Australia though. 1 USD = 1.51 AUD 😉

I love her videos, but this video really shows the difference in what the upper class considers to be a budget trip. There's nothing wrong with that at all! She works hard and makes alot and that's dope, but it really does highlight the difference in what the real middle class would consider to be a budget vacation. Most of the middle class would consider this extravagant. Again no problem just wanted to highlight the difference so others don't feel bad due to the word budget being in the title. I understand it is a budget trip for her, but not for most.

Thats pretty good price and I do travel this way as well, I want to stay at nice hotels, go for a dinner at nice restaurants, but during the day I will use public transport (breakfast I usually book with the hotel) and I have some normal lunch somewhere. With flights it depends, if I can get an upgrade for good price I'll do it too, otherwise I'll take the economy, but also prefer to take normal airline over low cost airlines.

Hi. I'm a new subscriber and loving the videos. I don't comment often because I'm watching on Roku. I had a thought on the place in Palm Springs. Maybe it's the name - Racquet Club Resort. Resort sounds pricey and racquet club doesn't have much to do with an air bnb. It's more reminiscent of a club with membership fees, monthly dues and a contract that's difficult to break. If you keep having trouble with bookings, it might be something to consider. Loved the airport lounge videos. Good luck.

Never regret for the money you spent on creating memories. Europe is just awesame. You have to visit Portugal and Spain and of course Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Don't visit Italy in summer time and put CHECZIA on your travel list. You will thank me later. So many wonderful places in Europe to visit and each one has the cons and pros. Make use of the trains, ships and all means of transport. You can find 3 star quality hotels in all cities as well and you can pay the fare that includes breakfast. You will realy enjoy it. Anyway, for more tips you can ask me. London has more activities and stroling around besides oxford street but anyway is an expensive city. Keep it up girl.

I am going to Zurich for pride & luckily staying with a friend so that’s major thing. I’ve been to Switzerland like 8 times now, with the most recent being in December. Compared to Ireland, it’s on par & hotels are actually generally cheaper….it food that gets you. I don’t ever bother with the scenic train but instead get a 3 day Swiss pass for 300CHF that allows you to use the majority of national train, ferry & city transport network. This time I only need it for one do days so it’s 80 CHF. Also a tip for EU residents flying to Switzerland, you get full duty free so stock up on way home or on the way there if you like cosmetics, smoke or drink at the airport. I’ll be bringing Jameson for pre-drinks as it will way cheaper at airport than if I got it at my local supermarket here

And by the way, with the effects of inflation, you'll find even in Los Angeles an "average" meal out (not even at a fancy place) is going to cost about $22-$40 per person. Well, I must say that's quite expensive for two weeks in Europe... but you chose two of the most expensive countries and cities around Europe: Zurich, Zermatt, London... I was actually shocked at the prices of the countryside in England... didn't think it was so touristic and expensive! For comparison, I did 10 days in Scotland with a camper and flight from Munich and it was already expensive, about 1500€ per person. So, by seeing 4600 per person and saying it's a reasonable price, I have my doubts... But of course it was a different kind of holiday and skying in Switzerland is for sure expensive as hell ahaha! At least double the price of other Alps location outside of Switzerland. Having said that, good for you that you can afford those trips 😊

If you know a bit of the in's and out's of the UK, you can save so much money and still have a wonderful experience. There's trains that go to any London Airport for £18-20, or for £16 by taking a National Express bus Accomodations to rent, yeah that's going to be expensive. Since you're there to see all the good things, honestly you wouldn't be able to avoid the prices that you paid for hotels. Food and drinks? Most bars have happy hour from 4pm to 8pm, most days of the week as well. And there's restaurants that have amazing and quality food where you don't have to spend £150 per person. But all in all, it depends on the income, which judging by your previous videos, spending almost £5k for you and "writing some of it off" is a bargain. I have friends that went to South Eastern Asian countries travelling for 6-8 months and spent £10-12k, and came back with amazing experiences.

Missed a good opportunity to use the term "Eurotrip" (like the movie) in the title.
