You can’t go wrong with Sennheiser. I had a great pair of their headphones that I used for 12 years until the cord on them started to wear out. They had lasted for ages and I used them constantly. I have a brand new Sennheiser pair I use now that are also fantastic.

My current headphones are Sennheiser HD-280 pro and Koss Pro-4AA reproductions which sound great, and are not used too often outside of the initial "break-in" period.

My headphones are cheap ones Larry,I got them last Christmas and they do the job OK but I would like some cordless ones,the chords get in the way sometimes and can be quite annoying and Christmas is coming,did you hear that Santa? Bob

I need to go cordless and get the hang of Bluetooth. I have a some Phillips 50mm Vented Neodymium drivers (whatever that means). I like them a lot actually, they are comfortable. I have used them more in my bedroom for practicing guitar or watching movies, since my landlady’s bedroom is immediately above mine. Usually I listen to music in the kitchen on a portable dvd player with a nice mini soundbar attached to it. I appreciate you talking about what headphones have worked for you, since I want to get something that fits well and lasts next time. I do have a stereo system in my bedroom but if I use it, it’s at a low volume. It consists of a cheaper audio technica turntable, two cheaper bluray players, one is an LG and one is an iVid (the iVid is for UK region stuff, as I have things like Doctor Who or music dvds that are from Europe), a Yamaha dual cassette deck, a couple of tiny cheap speakers for the stereo and a Bose soundbar for the Vizio tv. I had a small Vizio that fell over and had a scratch on the screen for about 6 years…two months ago at work, someone left a larger and better Vizio tv on the free table. So my remote worked with it and I was able to upgrade, which was nice. I don’t have cable in my bedroom, so I only play videos or do streaming on it.

I should consider a laser printer. I have cd player but in the last couple of years I haven’t listened to it much. I have loads of old cassettes that I play occasionally. I’ve kept them because there is some stuff that I recorded from friends and are now hard to get, plus stuff from the radio. I usually listen to music in my car or on my mp3 player with Bluetooth earbuds….. that’s probably why I have tinnitus 😊
