Since GoW Ragnarök was coming out,I played GoW 2018 finally, now I'm playing Ragnarök. After that I think I'll play the Chrono Cross Remaster. But I might take a break from gaming to work on some personal projects (aspiring indie game dev).

Sounds like your living your best life with your daughter and there's nothing more anyone can ask for. I played a small amount of Sunbreak but burned out and game jumped for a while before landing back into Guild Wars 2 after a 2 year hiatus. Actually getting one of my kids into it now as well and it's been fun watching her experience her first MMO and exploring with her. I'm sure like you I'll be back to monster hunter with the next main title but for now the break is refreshing.

Man, it's so awesome that you and your daughter are able to bond together. It's only recently that I took the effort to find activities to bond with my father through archery and going to an air rifle range. Growing up, my parents were working so much and the little time they had off, they just wanted to relax and turn off their minds for a moment, which I can understand. But now that I'm an adult, I've realised that I don't have much to share with my parents in terms of experiences, so I'm taking baby steps to try an resolve that.

Randomly got into the game a year ago, completed an Ultimate, and gets to play with your daughter. That's the craziest thing I've heard today. It's nice to hear you both are really enjoying the game. Like your situation with MonHun, I've taken a short break from playing so much XIV and doing things I missed over the years-as well as accidentally going through everything on a new character-to playing other games. I thought I was going to be itching to go back constantly, but it's been a nice time away. I could definitely use some people to play with when getting back to the game, because I've been flying solo for way too many years.

Honestly, Im happy to see you updating and to see you spending your time this year with your daughter instead of focusing on creating content. Its so sweet to see you guys enjoying FFXIV. I started playing in the beginning of covid and I been hooked since. Its the perfect game to spend with friends or family because its designed for the casual player in mind who may not have hours to grind due to irl obligations. Not being able to have a home is why I quit < DoH / DoL both maxed > last year. I got tired of waiting for Sanctuary Island. On what I'm up to, it's funny because I took, and actually taking a break from XIV for MH World/Iceborn and now fore Rise/Sunbreak ;) Another fun fact. I had the medium sized plot next to your FC on my server before my break (did lost it due to the prolonged break =P). And congrats with your ultimate clear ^^ I find it funny that you try to reproduce our 2.x~3.x EU experiences playing on EU server instead of JP one xD (back in those "era", our server were in Canada then moved in the US before we got the actual one for Stormblood if I remember correctly in Frankfurt).

Holy cow, I wasn't expecting omni-90 with a legend title. Nice job! For your chocobro you can grind out levels by farming fates in EW zones really quickly. Like it's actually really fast, not just slightly faster than other options.

Hell yeah! Been a fan of both MH and FFXIV for a long time now. Glad to see you really enjoying the game for a year now. You should also try Savage Raiding in FFXIV. They're a fun set of challenges, not as hard as Ultimates, but good enuff to get your boils going. The current tier for Savage right now is Abyssos (P5S-P8S), hopefully you get to clear them as well! They also got cool glams and weapons!

Glad you're enjoying FF14! I'm surprised people think NIN opener is impossible on controller. I've cleared 2 ultimates and 5 savage tiers on NIN on controller and never had any problems. The game feels really good on the dualsense!

I think I started playing this game around the same time you did, except I managed to get myself burnt out of the game at around June, I've been coming back to it every once in a while for extended periods and so I have to say that it is impressive what you managed to do in that same amount of time, from maxing all your jobs to the FC house...
