Ooooo i did the same thing recently and what I used to get the more troublesome sticky labels off was nail polish remover and a rag. Not the greatest chemical to use i know dont come for me, but it worked and I dont have the patience for anything less. Then just washed with hot soapy water 😊 great video as always, you continue to inspire me more than those "online influencers" ever could just for being you.❤

When I'm taking off the labels from glass jars, usually the best way for me is pour oil on them and rub them with piece of cloth. Works even better than just soaking in soapy water, the oil seems to just efortlessly scrape the label glue off the glass

For my spices in random jars, I use a piece of washi tape with a fun pattern and then write the spice name in permanent marker. It’s worked great for me so far!

you can probably find a label maker on marketplace! (Also spices don't expire, unless it smells off you're fine)
@fae5283 Жыл бұрын
Spices do indeed expire. At a certain point, their flavors dull along with their colors. There's also the possibility of clumping from exposure. The more you know.
@jocelynfoley6201 Жыл бұрын
I repurpose a box to hold my spices in a cabinet and just pull the box out for ease. I bought a label maker years ago and just label the lids.

Expiration dates are very poor estimations because there is no way of actually knowing something could last over 10X longer as the exact same thing based on how you store it. Don't trust expiration dates they just make you waste food they can be years before the item actually goes bad. Something they are even printed on products that have an indefinite shelf life just there to make you buy more.
@willsquidth9848 Жыл бұрын
True! Also depends on the packaging tho, a lot of the time the expiration dates are actually for the packaging weirdly enough, it’s a date for when the chemicals (in plastic for example) will start to break down and leach into the food.
@embarrassedcap Жыл бұрын
in my mind dried spices don't go bad. I tend to empty them quickly though.

I did the drawer of spices once. I baby sat my cousin and took a bunch of baby food jars home and put my parents Costco spices in them. Then when I moved i put them in a drawer. But they were ROUND and they would roll around the drawer when I opened them and pop open! 😭 moral of the story… only use the square jars for drawers 🤣

It's so weird seeing Celebrate Health in an American's KZbin video. I didn't think they were all that popular in Australia, let alone trying to make it in the US market. I reviewed their products years ago (possibly even a decade ago) on an old blog. I'm still mad at them for discontinuing their Indian and Moroccan spiced split red lentil and quinoa pouches years ago lol I love that apple idea to use up cereal crumbs!
