As an ESFJ, thank you for this video, it’s a great depiction of ESFJs. There are so many posts and videos out there that make fun of our personality type or inaccurately represent us. To sum up ESFJs: We work hard, want to do the right thing, want to love and care for you well, and want appreciation for what we do. It’s as simple as that.

Totally found myself here, as ESFJ I'm glad to find a video about this personality type cause aren't many on internet. We tend to put a lot of pressure of ourselves, and feel not good enough. My boyfriend is an INFP and he always calms down and don't like small talk when for me is more something that I enjoy doing, talking about just staff that I did or think. May be hard to love yourself, but learning all these great stuff about myself made my realise that for all ESFJ around here : fill yourself with you and then share with the world. 🌼

I LOVE small talk and I don’t understand why people hate it. Small and details about a person can tell you A LOT about them

As an ESFJ I would like to say that I truly enjoyed watching this video. It is really well made, very authentic and I think it represents ESFJs really well. Thank you so much. I truly appreciate it. Best greetings from Germany, Michael

This is honestly the best description I have heard after I watched countless videos calling my personality, basically, "emotional vain clowns". Thank you.

My ESFJs husband never cleans the room or makes his bed. I’ve begged him to help out around the house. He’s a bit of a slob 😂 at home chores are not his thing. But his desk at work is spotless.

Thanks for this. So so insightful. I particularly like your working example of the tidy room. My daughter is ESFJ and I'm ENFJ and although she's 12 I've learnt so much from her!

Aw thank you you just showed me the value of the beautiful ESFJs in my life *_* It changed my perspective. I was looking for something like this, it‘s hard to find since the mbti community is so focused on intuitive types

Lovely! Thank you for the positivity, and not focusing on the unhealthy type aspects of personality theory. Boundaries are important and focusing on giving without expectation.

ESFJ's need harmony in their environments to function well. They need balance and rules for top performance. Messiness means chaos.

Make your bed, lol! This was a huge thing for my mom (she had major ocd issues) so I learned a work around as a teenager that followed me through the early portion of my adult life! I would literally sleep on top of the covers of my made bed. I had a sheet or blanket that I would use to cover with and then in the morning I would just haphazardly fold it and stuff it in my closet, straighten the wrinkles on my "made bed" and viola! My bed was made!

I'm an ESFJ (well I believe so) and on the first point, I just get so stressed out when my surroundings and room are messy/out of control! at the moment work has taken over but my surroundings are still messy and it really makes me feel like my life is chaotic
@caledoniatardivo85375 жыл бұрын
The first thing I do each morning is do my bed and pull my blinds up... this is coming from an ISFP. Imagine being at home and having to do the dishes before you've done your room. It's my extroverted thinking which helps me to get some essential things that I should do every day done, unless I have no choice or I end up not minding the lack of order to the essential things that I should ideally do each day (as in making a small sacrifice to this order).

I’m an esfj but my room isn’t always organized. I can live with a messy room lmao until -UNTIL- i need shit done, like studying, I won’t be able to study if it ain’t organized.

I personally have always a messy room 😂 I don't really care about my own room, but if I'm at my workplace or school or sdomewhere else, I need to have things organized. :D (Also ESFJ)

Thank you, you did a great job explaining this and helping me to learn more about myself. For a majority of my life I was an INFP. Then approximately four years ago I had a terrible mental breakdown that caused me to loose ten years of memories among other things. After getting some help and doing a lot of work I have realized I am a very different person now. I took the personality test twice and both times got ESFJ. A surprising result, but after listening to you talk I am certain the ESFJ personality is accurate.

WaywardPondering me too, I went through a lot of childhood and domestic abuse, the whole time I was an INFP. 2 years ago I moved out to go to university and I took the test and I am now an ESFJ. I love it I feel more mee and happy and at peace and in harmony and around people that love me. I have better boundaries deffo me

I had a similar experience, I used to be in a very bad spot mentally, and I got infp the first time I took the test. A couple of years later I started working on myself mentally and I took a bunch of tests and learned about cognitive functions and now I’m pretty sure I’m an ESFJ!

Yeah, my sister cleans all the time, and is very fixated on keeping a tidy environment. She kinda goes overboard tho by making everybody take off their shoes to walk in the house on wood floors.

HI, Esfj here! This point about cleaning your room or surrounding areas that you dwell in IS A MUST!! MY LIFE IS A SHIT SHOW WITH ZERO CONCENTRATION. I'VE BEEN IN A FUNK FOR SEVERAL MISERABLE MONTHS AND TO EVEN BEGIN TO STRATEGIZE A BETTER PLAN FOR MYSELF, I MUST FIRST START AT STEP ONE " MOST IMPORTANTLY" GET MY ROOM AND HOME ,ECT... CLEAN AND ORGANIZED. HOW CAN PEOPLE EVEN FUNCTION UNLESS THESE VISUAL STRESSORS ARE NOT IN. THERE PRETTY PLACE! ALSO, FAMILY IS EVERYTHING TO ME. HOWEVER, MINE F'N SUCKS! I GUESS I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THE NARCISSISTIC EVIL SOBATOGING MOTHERS WHO HATE THEIR ENDLESSLY LOVING ESFJ DAUGHTER.? NEGATIVITY IS EXHAUSTING... I'M CONFUSED AS TO WHY AND WHAT I NEED TO DO TO BE LOVED OR ACKNOWLEDGED RATHER THAN SET ME UP TO TAKE AWAY ANYTHING I HAVE LEFT OR NEED. THE PLAN GETS FOLLOWER OUT TO DESTROY MY SOUL? ..

Aside from one being introverted and one being extroverted how can you tell the difference between isfj and esfj?
@Elimbi16 жыл бұрын
Esfj's (generally speaking) seem way to clean for me ( figuratively and literally) as an enfp it drives me crazy because I want to get to know a person but a lot of times it seems there is nothing there, probably because their ti-core is at 4th place so they don't know themselves really well let alone can explain it to another person
@whitehotmoonlight6 жыл бұрын
So true! It's like their inside is like a pool of crystal clear water.. sparkling and transparent. Or... is it empty? Is it hollow? How is that even possible? As an INFP, all I see within me are cobwebs and complicated wiring like that in an electrical board.
@TammyJBailey-b4h5 жыл бұрын
As an ESFJ counselor I can say you are incorrect.
@kaitlyns82683 жыл бұрын
I feel like maybe another reason could be dominate Fe they feel the need to relate to everyone rather then be entirely themselves so it’s harder to understand them because they want to relate to you rather then be themselves. I don’t know a lot about cognitive functions so I’m most likely wrong.
@caledoniatardivo85375 жыл бұрын
I know that this is unrelated to the video topic, but do you have an opinion on the crime and evil in this world? One of my wishes would be to stop all the crime and evil in the world. I've been sympathetic towards victims and their families, but it's emotionally and mentally exhausting, it's dark stuff. I'll let the ENFJ's do their job. It takes a big heart to think about and sympathize with others and their families in a humanitarian way, because it's emotionally exhausting stuff, not everyone can do it. You need to have a big heart for this stuff, it's heavy stuff (I'm kinda repeating myself). 🥋 ~ ISFP.

My mum is an ISFJ and we have 2 dachshunds, so she has a dachshund themed everything. Anytime she sees something with a dachshund on it, she'll buy it and put it up in the house or wear it. She has dachshund socks, a dachshund brooch, a dachshund umbrella, dachshund earrings, a dachshund biscuit jar, a few dachshund cushions and bookmarks, dachshund ornaments for holding jewellery etc. She really likes to buy cute stuff generally and put it up around the house. For me, I like collecting Welsh Dragon-themed stuff, but I never really put it anywhere special. I should probably do that. I like to put drawings and photos of people I love on my bedroom wall. I have a photo of me with my favourite hockey player, drawings of my favourite players, photos of my friends etc. My dad and recently redecorated my brother's room and when they both finished setting it all up, I went to have a look and I said that it was really cool (the dude has a corner wardrobe and a lava lamp lol), so my dad said we could redo my room, but tbh, I don't wanna change my room, and a big reason is that I'd have to take the pictures down. I've been putting those drawings on my wall since I was about 8, so there's around 10 years of stuff that I find special up there. The other reason that I don't wanna redecorate my room is because I don't really see the point. My room is really small so all I do there is sleep anyway lol.
