Y'all, I can't. All those blank slides were supposed to have TEXT and then I exported it without the text and now i'm just sitting here sad :(. So essentially, I just wanted to say, and convey, and express, that for a really long time the thing that made MIT a big sad time was that I couldn't stop comparing myself to others and feeling BIG time imposter's syndrome. As a result, I kept pushing myself to do more things that I couldn't handle and be interested in things I honestly didn't care much for, just to "catch up" and be like everyone else. Eventually, I realized that this was not the move. For one, I'm surrounded by the CRAZIEST people!! They are so smart and incredible and honestly lucky me for going to school with them :) But also, I'm not so bad too. I gave myself such a hard time for not being this, not being that, and it took me like 1.5 years to finally remember all the things that I lowkey am good at. It helped me come to terms with why I am at MIT and why I deserve to be here and why admissions gave me the opportunity several years ago. And lastly, I've become much more understanding of my own personal limits, of what I'm capable of, and pushing myself without pushing myself too hard. It's been a wild ride so far, but these are such amazing lessons I've learned that have allowed me to mature in my mindset :)

i love this mentality! that’s definitely something i’ve been learning to deal with. last year i was constantly busy and doing something and things have been a lot slower this year which makes me feel super unproductive compared to everyone else.

Thank you, I really needed this right now as I'm so overwhelmed with my courses (I'm doing 6 as well). I love my degree but it's like I don't even have time to enjoy what I'm learning these days. I'm trying to take it at my own pace and get back into doing small things for my mental health. Good luck with your startup btw, love your videos! ❤️
