Difficulty? Great! Scaling? This is the worst possible thing in any game that allows your character to grow in power. What's the point in obtaining new gear and moves when the wolf that gave you problems at the start of the game, when you were nobody, is still giving you problems when you're essentially demigod?
@PotatoPatatoVonSpudsworth
@PotatoPatatoVonSpudsworth 3 ай бұрын
Scaling isn't something you can just stick on a game at the end. You need to design the entire thing with its inclusion in mind. New content with higher difficulty is more feasible, but it depends heavily on what one means by "difficult." Are we talking increased mechanical complexity, or bigger damage/HP numbers? Both add "difficulty" but only one actually feels good to experience.

@Spike2276 3 ай бұрын
To me even Elden Ring's exploration pales in comparison to DD2's. There are other things i prefer in ER over DD2, but i think DD2 might have my favorite open world just due to the fact that it's open world feels like it is the meat of the game, like the game really couldn't work any other way.

@@Gems56 I'm a Fromsoft fanboy myself, and i can guarantee i've played more ER (and Dark Souls, and Bloodborne, and Sekiro) than 90% of the people who brainlessly defend every aspect of it. The fact of the matter is that exploration is enjoyable in ER, but the leashing on enemies and Fromsoft's area resetting systems make the open world into a smaller factor than people realize. Effectively it gives them a larger area to hide things and worldbuild, but for combat purposes you are working with a similar area as you were in previous games for each group of enemies you find. I wouldn't want ER to have the same exploration as DD2 for a multitude of reasons, but DD2's open world truly justifies itself in a way that i've never experienced with another game.

DD’s biggest strength is definitely its encounters. Coming across the sphinx, being invaded by a griffin for the first time, fighting the plague dragon at the top of a tower, seeing the stone statues and finding Medusa in a cave, chasing talus across the volcano island… I think they should roll out extra content monster by monster kinda how they do it in monster hunter. That way each new encounter is its own thing, and they could really focus on making each new monster and the way you interact with it memorable.

I hope they add the missing creatures from DD1 and some of the stuff from BBI as free updates. I also hope the Expansion will add something that is the nightmare of a failed arisen and will have really outlandish creatures and just new stuff that makes you rethink your tactics and approach. The shadowdragon stuff needs to be included, as you said, that would be nice!! Edit: You are correct that the Expansion should be accessed in NG+, but what I am thinking is that you collect a item in a new small dungeon which will give you access at the time you fight the dragon and your plagued pawn appears then a new event will trigger letting you into the new areas instead of the usual ending. That way they could add plenty new lore as well by tying it tpgether.

Dragon's Plague and the story/quests once you reached Battahl felt so obsurdly half-arsed I can only conclude the game was rushed to high hell at that point. Like, Post-Game has more 'meaningfull' content by like 3x compared to the Battahl->Grigori section. I want them to mainly add alot more quests around Battahl etc than anything else. Also, for replay value, having a new savefiles have the option to start with all vocations unlocked if you've unlocked them once. Having to sprint through 90-100% of the game map, trying to not level up while doing so, just so you can do a "Pure Magick Archer" playthrough destroys my willingness to replay the game in new ways.

I think there are some dialog about specifically a Dwarf city. Its implied to exist from people the elf x dwarf couple (that I can't remember the name of) because they had to have run away from some kind of dwarf prejudice too. It feels like there is a missing city of dwarves to contrast with our town of elves. I feel like we have to meet some kind of gathering of dwarves at some point of time, just to see what they are like. There are also all these clogged/blocked gateways that seem to lead underground or into the side of mountains. They look like ruins or an entrance to a larger structure. I think it would be insane, but cool if those were opened up in the game like some kind of Underdark situation. Like, theres another world living underneath ours, like in Gregor the Overlander.

I would very rarely ever say this, but: I’d love to see a roguelike mode. Something like GoW: Valhalla, taking base game combat but reframing the progression. It would just turn it into the replayable game I really want Dragon’s Dogma to be. Plus BBI had like **very** light randomised/replayable elements, so there’s some proof it could work. I just want an excuse to experiment with different classes and builds without having to start from scratch if I don’t want to be insanely overpowered.

(looking at you "we don't want all players to look the same" -> wops end game gear strictly best in slot so all players look the same, give us transmog pls) So if we follow the DD1 prophecy, the expansion will be it's own isolated smaller map/dungeon akin to BBI. A scene at the credits of the game leads me to believe it will be EXACTLY like BBI, i.e. arriving by boat. Gear will 100% be a direct stat replacement that everyone will wear and look the same. I'd also love to see like a dedicated trapper variant on thief, and there's also some really sick vocations from the MMO that anyone who's played it for 5mins deeply desires, spirit lancer could easily reuse spearhand's weapon type, and alchemist just oozes style and interesting mechanics that would fill the roll of a dedicated puncher.

I also want a few more enemy types for the base game to spice it up. A new way for weapons to scale/enhance so starter equipment can be used in endgame, they really dropped the ball with their "more gear options" claim. Dragonsplague.......what is that ? ;) I got 600 hours in DD2 and never encountered it. My only rental pawn is usually a lvl10 mage so I don't have to craft heals after fights.

Honestly, a gear upgrade/customization system would be a great idea. Being able to scale any piece of equipment up to endgame levels, or add permanent elemental enchantments to every weapon if you wanted. Just make the materials necessary into a one-time pick up from the world in each playthrough to introduce people to the system, and make the main grind a semi-rare drop from monsters, with more difficult monsters having higher drop rates. I've seen other people suggest full on transmog, but your idea is a much more interesting way of going about it.

Also I really like your idea of expanding on Dragonsplague! There was a game called Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter, where over 30 hours you have a 0% percentage that ticks up. There’s no way to reduce it, but every step makes it go up very slightly, or you can turn into a dragon and use really powerful skills in battle and it goes up even more. However once it reaches 100% its game over, so you can soft lock yourself if you use too much too early. Taking that kind of concept, where either you or your pawn can have a vocation that uses very strong dragon-like abilities but with a greater risk of causing dragonplague, so it’s a constant juggle of power versus longevity. Some kind of mechanic like that would be really neat!

I really love the format of Bitterblack Isle. It's scary, rewarding, and it comes in small chunks. Nowadays, I know the place like the back of my hand, but when I went there the first time, it was an exciting experience, and I loved the feeling of progressing just a little bit further each time I went in. The feeling when entering the Midnight Helix for the first time, and see.. that thing standing there. No music, just the heavy breaths and the rustling of chains. My pawn wimpering "can we leave it alone, please?" Or when you have cleared a room a bunch of time and start feeling confident and at home. Then Boom! Slow-mo effect, music changes, hello Garm! I wouldn't mind that at all in DD2. Also, the game needs to reward exploring more. A DLC could fix that. When clearing a dungeon, you should be rewarded with a nice weapon or armor piece, not a ferrystone or wakestone shard. Arenas, like the Rotunda of dread and Black abbey would be nice as well. My pawn and I spent a ridiculous amount of time in those arenas during our first playthrough. If I had the choice between more open world or a bbi- like dungeon, I would go for the dungeon without hesitation. But having both would be the best option. As for quality of life patches for the main game, I think it's really starting to come together now. If they just could stop wandering pawns from breaking the flow when I'm out adventuring, it would be amazing. They shouldn't speak until spoken to, and they should definitely not steal focus, grab my camera and so on. I really hope that behaviour goes away. I don't want to have to remember to unsheathe my weapon as soon as I see a pawn approaching.

I think a massive labyrinth connecting all those collapsed doors you find around the map would be awesome. New enemy types (hydra please) and maybe two new vocations (monk please). I noticed the sphinx platform has a maze like decal on it. Would be neat if this was the answer for said labyrinth or a part of it in a way. Also a overhaul on how some classes work (mage/sorc gets more spells and skill slots, warfarer gets change to make the class more like some of the mods we have now. Ect.).

I pretty much agree with all your wishes, ESPECIALLY dungeons/caves with good and bigger designs. RE-Engine snow biome would be amazing, especially since we had a taste of that visual in RE8. I don't want a hard mode like DD1 though. That will just get stomped as quickly after you level up a bit. What I want is a Level-scaling mode for enemies so they will always be stronger as you level up. Also, if they add new enemies from a DLC content island, they NEED to add at least some of them into the main game and swap with some spawns based on RNG. Isolating them on a content island is unacceptable IMO. Lastly, make pawn guilds functional again with random/refreshable notice board quests, especially to hunt boss monsters. Great way to vary spawns while also getting pawn badges.

I too want another open world, and I thought of some potential themes for it: 1. Something anachronistic where we explore the history of the Ancient Battleground and the apparent surrounding ruined civilization, including the original structures of the mountain shrine, where half of it crumbled into the swamp. 2. Northwards, specifically to address why there is a checkpoint and border there, perhaps exploring the region of the ruined civilization from the first game where Grigori fight takes place. 3. Some kind of zone transition on Agamen going through the Duskmoon Tower to a previously unknown/now accessible location, perhaps tropically themed.

Later on, having a party of 5 means access to more vocations and being able to choose specific skills. This also means they can really increase the stats for DLC monsters since you have a party of 5 instead of 4. And can make it more challenging for solo runs since it's meant to be ran as a group of 5. Imagine the fun voice lines between your 2 main pawns too.

Some good ideas here. I especially want an ice themed area and 1 or 2 BIG dungeons to go through. I've encountered dragonsplague a few times, never got the BIG EVENT from it though. The first time i saw it was when i activated one of those broken rift stones and a high level pawn popped out, i was needing a new ally at the time, since i was still low level and new to the game and this huge lady steps out with glowing red eyes and just rips into me. Definitely a memorable moment.

I liked using base game equipment instead of BBI in DD1. It's how I've always done it. It keeps me on my toes, I slowly upgrade and acquire better equipment. Most of it aren't even parts of a set, so I end up making some pretty interesting looking outfits. For example, as a fighter I would have a Feather Light Pelta, Eden's Warden, Iron Boots with Worker Pants, Doublet underneath Bone Plate armor with a Mahogany Cape, etc

While I enjoyed the game I was left feeling disappointed when I finished it. There were a lot of things that were improved or showed promise, but the whole game just felt half-baked. I want to see things more thoroughly explored and fleshed out in the DLC. Like the dragon's plague, an actual Elf city, not the 3 buildings we got in the base game, a dwarf city or anything that goes into them more since there was, what, 2? 3? in the whole game. More enemy variety, and new bosses, like the Beholder or Hydra. Some new vocations would be great, Mystic Knight or a hand to hand class. And higher difficulty or difficulty sliders is a must. The combat is very fun, but you get so powerful that not even by the endgame nothing is a challenge anymore and you can't do the fun combat anymore since everything dies so fast. You have to purposefully use terrible equipment and not the cool stronger stuff which feels bad. NG+ not increasing difficulty or health at all really soured me on the game and killed any excitement I had to replay. A new mega-dungeon like BBI to really let you use the fun combat is probably the most likely thing come out. I may be in the minority on this, but as neat as the Unmoored world was thematically and story-wise, gameplay-wise I hated it. Running around a bland, samey landscape fighting 40 million skeletons/zombies was not a good time. The resting time limit was also very annoying, I know it's easy to just not rest, but you don't know that the first time you're there. With the QoL stuff they added last patch, hopefully difficulty modes will be added in a patch and not DLC.

Would love to see a legendary bounty/hunt type system with notification boards added back into the game. I’m thinking essentially it generates a random much more difficult encounter somewhere in the region when you accept the quest, with the possibility for them to add new enemies that would otherwise not fit well into the usual world, like cockatrices or similar enemies to those in the Everfall or BBI from DD1. This could also tie into upgrading whatever equipment they add in the DLC, and along with maybe a couple new vocations, would add a lot more unpredictability to the game instead of grinding the same set enemy spawns over and over.

I definitely want more dungeons. Those seen in DD2, be it catacombs or other “proper” dungeons in areas such as the Sphinx’s shrines, the everfall within sea floor shrine, and Dragonsbreadth tower all had great atmospheres and designs that went mostly underutilized.

I'm not too excited about a new open-world area, despite being the most likely type of DLC we will get. Other than hard mode (that also tweaks monster speed and aggressiveness), ng+ plus scaling, new monsters and core skills. I would like to see a sophisticated procedurally generated infinite dungeon akin to the chalice dungeons in Bloodborne or the "endless tower" from the conceptual design works for DD1. The dungeon could implement DD2's campfire/survival mechanics into it, implementing the sort of atmosphere games like Darkest Dungeon have. It could also have the customizable difficulty you mentioned by having different layers that vary in difficulty, content, and rewards. It could even tie the whole pawn plot by making the endless dungeon an in-between place where abandoned/corrupted pawns get lost, like BBI.

For me, difficulty options are probably my #1 ask, next would probably be easing the vocation restrictions on armor. There are ~90 different body armors in the game but the vast majority of them are locked to one or two vocations, which really limits pawn fashion. Also, quite a few armors are locked to arisen-only vocations, so pawns would never even be able to wear them, which is unfortunate.

I think--considering the multiple blocked-off underground entrances around the map, as well as the presence of Dwarves as a distinct race--an underground open-world would actually be wonderful. Something structured like a dungeon, but with the design of an open-world, built underneath the existing map, would be a dream expansion. Something akin to an Underdark area, where all the most fucked up monsters exist. Placing it underneath the existing map would expand the already excellent non-linear exploration with a risky, but rewarding underground layer linking between various parts of the map. It could also be an opportunity to explore more of the ancient world, buried underground, in similar theme to Dark Arisen. If we wanna go really classical with it, it could be made multi-layered, and represent multiple layers of a Hel-type realm in-lore.

Definitely want a hand to hand vocation, paunch is fun. Probably could get away with some funny sub vocations that nudge a class's stuff around but makes their flavor extremely different. Like a Kensai sword saint deal for fighter that can still block, gets their shield moves changed, and has a completely different animation set, (probably thief adjacent armor style). There's a lot of thematic overlap space that you can't justify another vocation because of, but it would be still cool to have so that might be a reasonable way of doing it. A hard mode world state (which maybe you opt into if you want access to the DLC region immediately.) for NG+. There's lots of cool directions it can go, as long a they do it I am sure it'll be very engaging.

Honestly if a new location is added I kind of hope the spawn rates for enemies is a little lower there. I get why the developers made them so high since it will increase the chances of unique interactions between different groups of enemies, but it just doesn’t help when there is such low variation between the different small enemies. Heck even a lot of the bigger enemies need more variation since a majority of the over world encounters are trolls, cyclopses, Minotaurs, or griffins. I just want something different instead of walking into battahl and facing hordes of goblins, wolves, and harpies.

What I would like for dlc is the first one to be around the hyperborea area. Add a new region/country with snow and add 3 new vocations and if the leaks are true be about a princess and this is where I would like them to be inspired from ddo where you’re the red dragon and the princess is the white dragon. The second one a dungeon dlc where they take inspiration from the first game and have the dungeon be that multiverse tower where they finally implement online and co op so you can play with other players and their pawns or have a 4 player team and in the fight the guardian from the moon tower ever fall cut content idea and again add 3 more vocations. And the third one I want one that explores the brine and dragons plague so have like a dark edgy theme dlc where we can become a warlock that uses eldtirch magic and maybe add a swampy region and where you have to fight your pawn after they lose control and you are able to give them a pawn only ultimate where they use the dragons plague as an ultimate attack and ofc 1 or two new vocations.

I honestly just want to see warfarer reworked a bit. Like, three skills just isn't enough to keep it fun. Imo, at the very least, the requip needs to be mapped to a different key so it has access to four abilities, but personally I'd like to see abilities locked into the weapon you use. Like, imagine you have four slots, one is always taken by the weapon swap skill, but every weapon has three different skills. That would be awesome.

i think a kind of escalating boss rush type roguelike endless dungeon with "camp/town build mechanics" would be sick like as an actual seperate game mode basically you start blank as a warfarer then you go through rooms/levels they can be caves or just chunks of the actual open world have it be somewhat randomized you'll have one small mob zone that leads into a boss room maybe the first 2 bosses are set and after its random and you get 1 chest at the end of a boss fight with a random kind of upgrade that can be a weapon or a skill/abiltity/calss upgrade and throughout the rooms you might get mini quests like saving an npc from a pack of mobs which then will unlock a new function at your camp like maybe you can now choose a specific class other than warfarer or you get a shop with limited based on your progression items you could buy and so on basically a dungeon crawler rogue lite type mode just that its endless and the boss fight escalate with adding more and more bosses in the same room where you could end up fighting 3 ogres 2 griffins and maybe a dragon all at once it might be a bit too much perhaps have it in stages

if the DLC really is coming (and it better), let me share my hopes - as in for the monsters - for it: *monster variants:* don't have them appear more frequently in the Unmoored World. instead, have them appear in the base game, but with a small chance of doing so. as you get closer to the battle with Grigori, the chances of, say, a Gorechimera will increase. (warrants own section) *Wyvern:* it's been mentioned once in Ulrika's questline, but it's not in the game. perhaps there's a way to add it in: so the Drake is an Arisen who died before reaching the Seneschal, right? the Wyvern could be a Pawn who died while infected by Dragonsplague. being the "Dragonkin" version of Pawns the same way a Drake is a "Dragonkin" Arisen, 1 or 2 can sometimes be seen accompanying the latter. it's yellow, and while big, it's smaller than the Drake. it attacks much like a Harpy, but can use its tail, as well. it cannot use magic, and would breathe poisonous gas. now, you're probably thinking "why not just give the Wyvern and Wyrm from DD1 a glow-up like the Drake?" well, of the trio from DD1, only the Drake returns - and it can cast magick now, which only the Wyrm could do (on one hand, why did they do this? on the other, it actually makes some sense). and remember when i said the Wyvern's been mentioned once in Ulrika's questline? it's been mentioned by Martin, who says "perchance you mistook an overgrown Wyvern for the bringer of calamity?" this, to me, implies that the Wyvern is a rather common monster. not as much as Goblins or Harpies, but i'd say as common as the Ogre or Cyclops. also common are Pawns, who roam around the world. let me also tweak Dragonsplague, as it's somewhat related to the Wyvern. the afflicted Pawn would turn into the shadowy dragon we see in the cutscene - except a Wyvern. let's call it the "Shadow Wyvern", for simplicity's sake. it'd fly out of the town/city, and would start killing travellers, oxcarts and other life forms whilst it flees. oh, you think that's it? it's underwhelming? wrong... dead wrong. you see, if left unresolved, you can't replace the Pawn now-turned-Shadow-Wyvern, so you must make do with 2 Pawns; and when you're out and about, the Shadow Wyvern will hunt you down and attack you; and that could happen at anytime, anywhere - including when you're fighting a monster. you can fend it off, but this won't stop until you kill it. if that happens at night, Seneschal help you: it blends into the dark, with only its eyes giving away its position. if a Pawn succumbs to Dragonsplague and turns into a Shadow Wyvern, your top priority is to track down and slay it; just follow the shadowy trail it left behind. and in terms of power, it's on par with a Lesser Dragon or Drake. *Hydra:* it'd remain the same, but doesn't have a rattle on the end of the tail. it'd have 3 heads; when the left and right head are severed, they grow back 2 more, meaning the Hydra can have as many as 5 heads. if not a Drake, then a Hydra would spawn in the Ancient Battleground. *Archydra:* exact same concept, but instead of 3 heads by default, make it 5 - meaning 7 heads total (it's supposed to be a harder variant of the monster, might as well kick it up a notch). also spawns in the Ancient Battleground, but the chances are fairly small. *Black Griffin:* a monster variant from DDO. its physical description is exactly as advertized, but it can summon fire instead of lightning, and breathes a black vapour that inflicts poison. if the Griffin is a noble and holy creature in Dragon's Dogma, then the Black Griffin is its opposite. now, let me make the picture clear: they added the Gorgon and the Sphinx from DDO, but not the Black Griffin? for all i care, Capcom could have just spray painted the Griffin black, why didn't they add a variant from DDO that'd be relatively easy to make? *Cockatrice:* it'd be exactly the same as DD1, but with better graphics. i'm disappointed it's not in the game. *Bisso Galeto:* in Dragon's Dogma Online, there's the Bifrest: a monster than GREATLY resembles the Cockatrice... but that's all i know about it. don't know what its breath attack does, nor what its claws can inflict. so let me make the Bisso Galeto - massive missed opportunity, Capcom: in DD1, southern Gransys resembles Italy, especially the home town of the Arisen, and there's the accent of the locals, to boot. "how's that relevant?", you may ask. the Bisso Galeto is, essentially, an Italian version of the Basilisk/Cockatrice - specifically from Veneto. i'll let the Wikipedia tell you everything. in DD2, the Bisso Galeto would be a variant of the Cockatrice, but with a large red crest on its head, and the colours of a Rooster. its claws inflict bleeding, they're that sharp; it breathes fire, in reference to some legends of the Basilisk (look it up; it's true) - the DD2 Bisso Galeto fire can also poison, since the gas is very poisonous; its roar causes debilitations, like the Cockatrice's (such as Lowered Strength/Magick/Defense/Magick Defense and Blindness). monster variants are supposed to be hard, right? this is as hard as i could make this one. *Lindworm:* since the Drake looks a tad different than it did in DD1 (like the shape of its head), i say the Lindworm should be, too. for one, its tail would resemble that of a Newt; don't like the way it looks right now, and it needs a better tail to swim. the fins on its limbs would disappear - but it'd have webbed hands and feet. it'd only have one pait of horns, and they'd be small, accentuating its ear frills. its wing membranes would connect to the body, instead of stopping at the "elbow". its body would be more serpentine, the body a fair bit less defined (have you seen Smaug from The Hobbit trilogy in flight? like that). have it spit a toxic fluid that looks like milk. the Wiki says our Lindworm spits a foul-smelling milk-like substance; why not give it to Dragon's Dogma's Lindworm? lastly, its colour and habitat: it'd be green, and would inhabit woodland and swamps - meaning Vermund, the Misty Marshes in particular. *Sea Serpent:* the sea-faring variant of the Lindworm, and it'd have the same colours of the original Lindworm from DDO. also, it'd spew salt. *Drake and Lesser Dragon:* fix their fire-breathing animation in mid air. *Warg and Garmr:* give them a tail. even wolf-like monsters have a Wolf's tail. *Island Encampment/Sacred Arbor Purgener:* get rid of its pink eyes, tendrils, sludge and horn; let it keep its fire breath and have it use its tail as an additional attack; let it roam Vermund and Battahl (particularly Wyrmsblood Forest). it'd be called the "Python" (name of a Greek dragon in myth) - i just want that fire-breathing snake to be a regular boss monster in the base game. *Wyrmsblood Forest:* expand it. give it an area to fight a Python. what's the point of having a place with a name like that if you only fight ONE Dragonkin - that being the Lesser Dragon in Dragonsbreath Tower? along with that Lesser Dragon in the tower, have the forest house a Drake AND a Python. you want to farm Wyrmslife Crystals? here's 3 Dragonkin in the same area. *Misty Marshes:* also expand them; and make them an ACTUAL marsh. otherwise, rename the place the "Foggy Forest", since it's what it really is right now. all this without knowing what the new area's going to look like; i just want to improve the base game.

let me expand on it with the Vocations i've cooked up - and i don't care if the Warfarer undermines the Vocation's existance. Thief + Mage = Mystic Spearhand. come on: 2 blades on either end of a stick, with magick? why isn't *this* the Vocation's combo? Fighter + Mage = Mystic Knight. since the Mystic Spearhand would be a different combo, why not bring back this one? and have the Vocation have both sword and shield drawn; it still irks me that the Mystic Knight only draws the sword. the shield clips through the cape. the return of the Ranger. because even if the only difference between it and the Archer is just the Longbow, its absence is still bull$#1t. Assassin, the "upgrade" of the Thief. Fighter turns to Warrior, Archer/Strider to Ranger, and Mage to Sorcerer... why not Thief to Assassin? *addendum:* Sorcerer would have access to swords. what? DD1 already referenced Legolas' weapons in the first game, and DD2 references Rivendell with the Sacred Arbor; so why not reference Gandalf's weapons by giving Sorcerer access to swords? besides, Fighter's the only vocation with technically 2 weapons, since Strider's been split in 2. Fighter + Archer = Adventurer. since sword & shield don't exactly fit the name "Assassin", and i've already used the name as the "upgrade class" of the Thief, why not rename the Vocation to "Adventurer"? i mean, SnS + Bow is what i expect a typical adventurer to use. Thief + Archer = Strider. that's one of the hybrid vocations i assumed they'd have, considering Strider's been split in 2. heck, it's a logical assumption. Fighter + Thief = Mercenary. capable with sword & board, but can be sneaky and cut-throat, hence the daggers.

hard agree abt dragonsplague content. it was technically part of the plot in 2 but still felt very underutilized and I'd like to see it fleshed out. above all though I hope if there is DLC it takes place after the ending; the end felt really abrupt and sudden but I'd also really like to see the world post-brine. A peninsula/coastal themed area maybe?

its funny how you mention snow and footsteps in snow and higher levels that slow you down, since youve started your Monster Hunter World run recently. Because Capcom already did that for the Hoarfrost reach, the ice map added in Iceborne

Im also a fan of the osts. For creatures like Cockatrice, they could make a metal version of Fight or Flight or for Resilient Drakes/Lesser Dragons we could get metal versions for those. Or even for a Lindwurm. We can get Dragons Dogma Online content built into the story, thatd be amazing.

Problem with locking dlc with ng+ is u wont be able to do lvl 1 runs into it, which was quite fun with dd1, allegedly made the game decently challenging.
