On the release day of DD2, I added Chonk Lord to my party. After a few hours, my party got blasted by a drake and Chonk Lord being the mad lad that he is, proceeded to run into the nearby trees only for me to watch him get eaten by a ghost. Results : I'm alone, in the dark, and I now know ghosts can eat people. The next day I met him in Harve Village and said to me "Have we met before?" He never joined my party again.

Yeah, it's awesome. I hired a Pawn named Magnus, a warrior, and we killed some Cyclopses and Ogres together. Then I dismissed him for a higher leveled Pawn, and later found him in Battahl. It was cool.

I love the pawn system in this game. I was strolling about in DD2 when I had to do a double take at a majestic towering pawn strutting in full white garb just outside of Battahl. Lmao thats the dd2 experience right there. Luckily, I havent had anything THAT life threatening happen. The one time I've died was due to me playing first thing in the morning half awake. Saw a broken bridge. Genuinely thought I could make the jump. I in fact could not make the jump. I hadnt saved in a while and said fuck it and used a wakestone On the bright side, falling caused me to find a cave I hadnt explored before so that was cool. But yeah, the craziest thing I had happen to me was during this one quest. I was trying to run to melve as fast as possible to rescue this kid and the universe was not in favor of me getting there in a timely manner. I dont remember what level I was but it was in the early 20s I believe. But I got attacked by wolves, goblins, saurians, harpies, ogres, minotaurs, and a cyclops along the way. Pretty much everything got in my way. And that whole journey started by me missing the oxcart by a literal second and then it not letting me on for some stupid reason no matter what I did. Returning to the city, I was definitely weary but that was the first time I felt confident in my abilities in dd2. Kinda like when I got magick archer. Decided drakes were to fear me. Then got my ass handed to me the second I actually hunted one myself. (Before that I got a drake that attacked the city down to its last health bar no problem so I got over confident) Kinda like that 😂 Now I make sure to have my special ability equipped at all times in case I run into a drake 😅

Ngl despite the flaws the game has im still having a blast with it. I love how dynamic everything feels, from encounters to the pawns chattering and showing you stuff nearby (I would have missed so many seekers token and chests on cliffs if it wasn't for pawns drawing attention to it). I had a similar experience with the griffin getting into Battahl but for me i took a long rout through the mountains near Rest Town, when i crossed the border finally a griffin swooped in and flew off while i was still on it and flew me DEEP into Battahl. I was so under geared for this area at the time, if it wasn't for spearhand i would have not made it to the city but i loved every second of it

The only thing i wish this game had was the enemy variety of the first, but who knows maybe DLC like Dark Arisen will give us that. Edit: Then there’s the fact DDO gave us a ton more enemy types not seen in the first game as well, like Orcs and i LOVE orcs, it was also where the Sphinx originally came from, so i really hope DLC for DD2 will add more enemy variety.

So not sure if someone else has said this. But that particular archway that you went through that caused you to clip under the map? That happened to me EXACTLY. When I saw where you were I feared the worst, and it happened. I attempted to ferrystone, and it wouldn't allow it, because I suppose under the map or that particular spot classifies as 'Underground', meaning it didn't work. I immediately quit without saving and luckily my last autosave was seconds before I decided to sprint through the archway for whatever reason. Very sorry about your progress Cringe. I hope you're still enjoying the game, and hopefully, maybe they'll patch that for the souls yet to be absorbed by the ground.

@@Ssecil85% of the time all you are fighting are saurians, wolves, goblins and harpies of various colors for small enemies, and griffins and cyclops and ogres for the large ones, maybe drakes are common enough to throw in there too. Anything else is very rare or literally a one-time fight

"They are not rare once you find their location" doesn't make any sense. The Medusa isn't "not rare" just because you can fight it as many times as you want. It would be not rare if you occasionally encountered it in the wild instead of a cyclops for the 5,000th time. The size of the world has nothing to do with it. It's a big world, and they filled it with the same enemies everywhere. You could have a big world, and more enemies types to fill it instead of having a thousand goblin camps. You're talking nonsense

I've only played Archer so far, and it's been tricky not having the Strider's dodge roll to rely on for evasion. I've definitely had to put more thought into my positioning and attack timings. As cool as it is to jump and kick off an enemy whilst doing a backflip, it's not the get-out-of-jail-free card that the roll was in DD1, so I'm enjoying the challenge of re-learning the game!

what you could do is mix trickster and fighter into the same class since you like them so much as a warfarer. that's what i did amd it was super fun, i didnt use the Rearmament skill and instead manually swapped from trickster incense to fighter sword and shield from the equipment menu. the buff on pawns remain even when you swap weapons, i used 2 fighter skills and suffocating shroud + buff skill on trickster and had alot of fun, you might enjoy warfarer even more since it has the best drip options of any class

First time i fought a wyvern i was definitely underleveled. But the wyvern did its fire breath attack where it backs up and it fell into a river and died.

You can get trickster master skill in the same place theres a ladder if you go to the back left of the shrine she on the roof. If you go to far in the story tho you'll be locked out of it

The DD character creation theme slaps. I spent so much damn time in that menu system that it's burned into my brain 😂
