Twin Peaks is one of the best series ever and I feel like S3 picks up where the others left off. It’s different but similar enough to connect to the Twin Peaks world. Would love to have an in depth video or 2 about it lol

Hi Emma. There is a fella here on KZbin that posted a 4-1/2 hour video (yes, I know, but bear with me) on ALL of Twin Peaks, including The Return, and his analysis is... incredible. An angle I hadn’t ever thought of before. He piles evidence on top of evidence - mounds of evidence, and honestly after watching his deep analysis, I am convinced that Lynch is even more masterful than I thought, up there with the Greats, up there with Kubrick. I know you would like his thoughts. Give him a half an hour just to see him set it up, I promise you, it will forever change the way you view Twin Peaks. About the Alien saga and the Twin Peaks series I say yes to both! It will be very good content for sure! Finally just wanted to say that Apple Tv + has some of my favourite shows, they don't launch a lot of content but what they have is really good. "See", "Defending Jacob", "The Morning Show", "Home Before Dark" and "Servent are all really good. I also recommend "The Killing" either the American version from 2011 or the Danish version from 2007. Both great quality shows.

First of all, best wishes to Grommet for a full recovery. Being a dog lover, I know how much they are a part of the family and when they are hurt, we all feel it. Second, thanks very much for the list of films, Emma. I still have to see "Phobias", which I hope to do in April. I really like "The Village" and I could never understand all the initial hate it got. I also really liked both "Prometheus" and "Alien: Covenant", though I understand why they are not favorites among Alien fans. So sorry about Gromit! My dog dislocated her leg a few years ago and it was awful. I never heard her yelp like that before or since 😥. The good news is with a lot of love, patience and good veterinary care, she's recovered well. It was definitely a challenge to keep her calm and inactive so she could heal (she's a big dog too), but we got there and so will Gromit!

Almost everyone I know cannot stand Gaspar Noe's films. I love his work so much. I got to see Enter The Void on the big screen at the Texas theatre (where they caught Lee Harvey Oswald, which is fun), and that movie was such a disorienting game changer. Glad to learn that you're a fan and looking forward to a video about Gaspar.

Loved The Village, not the Happening. Loved Army of Darkness, Evil Dead 2, and Enter The Void. Please ignore people who can’t understand that 2 people can have different opinions. Those differences are actually fun. I loved the non linear narrative structure of Violation. I loved its ambiguity and how the female directors ensured it was not exploitative. So glad you enjoyed Murder Among the Mormons, it went on such a wild ride that I was totally NOT expecting, so it was pretty refreshing. I definitely had a bit more a TV month than a movie month in March - WandaVision (one more ep left that I'm DETERMINED to finish before the month is out), Drag Race (UK & US), MATM, The Circle (#geezergalsunite lmao) and of course Dark! We're on season 3 episode 4 now and I am not mentally prepared for whatever is going to happen in the end!

SPOILERS for the Alien franchise... ...in 1979, we were entranced by the wonder of a universe that we did not mold nor imagine, no much comprehend. The unknown has a lure, a beauty, and also a danger we can't prepare for. "Come see for yourself", it seemed to say. it's a world we play only a small part in, and it does not cater to us. It's the heart of what I look for in science fiction, and in some horror. After years of diminishing returns, Ridley Scott kept giving lip service the prequels he wanted to make, in which we would learn about the mysterious Engineers, their world and their xenomorph. And I was a cheerleader for that to happen, I had no interest in seeing yet another xenomorph-centric horror. What awe might we discover, what dangerous beauty? Turned out, the Engineers were basically us in more than just form. Those amazing alien bodies? Just spacesuits. We're central to the universe after all. "Stay at home", Prometheus said, 'Don't bother. There's no point in wonder or exploration, all we'll find is us." What a spirit-crushing letdown. What a way to destroy a vision. Covenant was worse (topped by a cruel downer ending): the xenomorphs aren't even the design of the engineers. We get the promised glimpse of their world, arriving just in time to see it destroyed. In short, Alien was expansive where Prometheus and Covenant are reductive. I try to pretend they have nothing to do with each other.

I watched Army of Darkness then Evil Dead 2 on vhs in the same order back in 1998 for the first time. I got pulled into this universe, And back then had the hardest time finding evil dead one for rental or purchase. I ended up finding evil dead one on VHS two years later. Needless to say when you see it in reverse order you notice the differences in effects, ED1 is still creepy though.

I'd love a full Alien series episode. Also as for Phobias? It was a bit vague, I would have enjoyed a bit more backstory to the wraparound but it looked good good and fun enough for a watch. Also - I actually enjoyed Son - disjointed at times but still another fun watch I did not expect. Nothing new beats Stay out of the Fucking Attic though this month. Excepth the JL Snyder Cut.

I liked the story, it had so much potential but yeah that ending was so bad. It had to be a late addition. Either they ran out of money or a previously written original ending wasn't working so they just went with the all time number 1 cliche bad ending. None of the interesting stuff with the black figures in shared dreams matters because it was aaaaaaaallll a dream.

I have seen a lot of found footage movies, but Hellhouse LLC is one of the few that truly made me motion sick! Also, someone getting mad at you for liking something and they didn't. Even if you have similar tastes, there are always going to be things that you would disagree on. They way I look at it is, you liked it and good for you. I'm sure there is some movie that person liked that you hated so... Me berating someone for halving a different opinion than me is a waste of energy that could be better spent doing something else.

I was really enjoying ‘come true’. The nightmare visuals were stunning...but at some point I found myself messing with my phone so it lost me along the way. The ending also fell flat for me.
