dang cineape 35 looks almost like this but has been really sturdy and is like $300 cheaper. solid buy for anyone looking to get into the cine side of fpv

Thanks so much, I really like the idea for the bumper guards. What sort of foam do you use or where do you get them from? Thanks so much

You are right on the money about the problems with this frame. I started to scratch-build a Cinelog35 from the frame kit. It was such a nightmare design that I gave up. I then purchased a Speedy Bee Bee35 frame and successfully completed the drone. Speedy Bee's design is much better.

yeah, for me it was a buy first learn later. The frequent breaking of the guards as well as the frame is a big headache.

Thanks for the review. A few questions for you if I could: 1. Had you flown Manually with the Avata prior? 2. If so, in Manual, how’s this Camelot compare to the Avata? I’ve been flying Manually with the Avata and a Hero Mini for the past couple years, but curious about the Cinelog. I’ve found the Avata quite capable, provided the appropriate Piloting. 3. Is the only reason you recommended the 5” for first timers is because of the repeatability? Thanks for the great review and info.
@dronepilotdavidАй бұрын
yes, i flew the avata 1st, that was my 1st fpv drone. the way the avata is flown is very different compared to this drone. If the avata works for you, keep flying it. I recommend the 5" for repairability, better protection in crashes and a wide range of drones available.

Fuuuuuuuuuhhhhk that. Thanks for the review. I’ve been thinking about a 35. Not now. I’ll checkout the Pavo reviews.

@ I hear the bee 35 is good. I wanna build one with KISS/Voltara minis.

The 25 v2 is a mainstay for me. But the 35, i got rid of pretty quickly

all part of the learning as a new fpv pilot. For me had to buy it to find whats good and bad

I've been having some success with the BetaFpv line. The pavo20 and pavo20 Pro . This reminds me of those. But I'm so new I don't know anything.
@dronepilotdavidАй бұрын
I have heard good things about those drones, but i have not personally flown them. When you new alot of the learning is through trial and error. theres only so many videos you can watch before you need to get out and just fly.

Im struggling to get mine to fly with the DJI fpv controller 2. Any ideas? New to this so might be doing something wrong?

Broken propguard and broken frame happened to me as well after crashing into a table. Had to take everything apart. When you hit something the connnection from frame and motor arm forces the carbon fiber frame to break at that specific point. It a mistake of design
@dronepilotdavid2 ай бұрын
Yeah I have had that happen several times, it’s a time consuming fix. Ease of repairs is definitely something to consider with any drone
@malachiteofmethuselah9713Ай бұрын
ALL.... I repeat, ALL of the retail cinnewhoop style drones are fragile in the prop guards, almost as if the guards were always meant to be consumables.
@dronepilotdavidАй бұрын
i fully agree with you. I think this point is missed with many reviews. Coming from the Avata i had a false sense of protection with the prop guards, they break even with minimal force.

My least favorite drone. Every small mistake is punished by something breaking. Slight disarm 2 meters in the air caused me broken frame. Propguards I've broken 3 times. So easy to break. And it's noisy as hell.
@dronepilotdavid2 ай бұрын
i completely agree with you. Thats why i dont recommend this as a 1st drone for new flyers.

WTF! sounds like an F35... Sounds terrible...🤮

It is loud! Sounds like the motors will fly off

@dronepilotdavid I couldn't live with that. It would have to go asap lol.

Unfortunately most review videos don’t touch on these points but it should be part of why you should or shouldn’t buy
