I started bullet journaling in February. You have some great tips here. I really like the idea of a mood/gratitude tracker beside the 'one line a day'. My big mistake was deciding the whole year would be a nautical theme. 3 Months into my journal I am tired of sailboats, compasses, lighthouses, ship's wheels and bouys. Monthly themes are so much more interesting

I do agree that sticking to one theme for a whole year can get tiring, sometimes I get tired of sticking to the same theme for just ONE month 😂 the beauty of a bullet journal is that we can always change the theme whenever we want!

@@JournalingWithNadia Yes agreed themes can get tiring. Most of May is already outlined with seine boats but i started a brain dump pages for theme ideas for the June onward. Some new washi tapes and brush pens should be arriving soon too. I'm now on your newsletter list. Great to listen to a Canadian perspective too.

I love that idea of letting go of perfectionism!! This is a constant work in progress for me & the biggest reason why I've never gotten around to trying bullet journaling. But you're really convincing me that I need to get on it. Love this Nadia!!

These are all great tips. I really appreciate that reminder that it doesn't have to be perfect. I'm not a perfectionist, luckily, but it's still good to remember every spread doesn't have to be a work of art. I would really love to seem some tips/design ideas for collections. I recently started keeping a couple lists of shows to watch - one for K-dramas (it's a long list) and another for other types of shows so that when I'm cruising Netflix, trying to decide what to watch next, I'll have a list I can check to help me decide. I also decided to track shows I've actually watched & I have my own way of tracking shows I've finished, what I liked, what I loved, etc, as well as games to try or books to read/listen to. The k-drama list, as I mentioned already is quite long & I'd love some ideas for how to do a list like this in a way that doesn't mean re-writing it constantly. I always appreciate your content & tips, thanks!

Even if we're not perfectionists, it's great to remember that every work doesn't have to be a work of art, especially when we're experimenting with new styles and ideas as a creative 🥰 Oh yes! You can definitely just start bullet journaling with any notebook and pens! I found some amazing bullet journal notebooks and pens at the dollarstore. The best color is the color that YOU like 😊 you can start with anything and buy more things later if you wish 💕
