I went to Fatima when I was in Lisbon for WYD and the most powerful moment for me as well was the pilgrimage on my knees. What made it even crazier was that I had been praying throughout the week to have a return of child-likeness in my life again and two Portuguese children saw me walking on my knees by myself and decided to join me. My own Jacinta and Francisco. Best day ever.

I'm so glad that your coming to WYD was so blessed and fruitful. Thank you for sharing this, Father. So many untruths are being told about WYD and that can be so painful sometimes. We have a great love for the Eucharist and Our Lady. I was very happy to see my country "invaded" by Catholics from all over the world 😄👏🙏. It is so refreshing that you came back with such an enlivened description of the Trip. It was so refreshing!! I thought at first it was going to be another berating of Pope Frances and growling about Rome and the Vatican. THANK YOU for not going in that direction. I'm tired of hearing complaining by priests and nuns and self important lay people about the church. I wish the people who 'devil mass ( it was mocking the devil not praising him, holy eucharist disrespected (didn't even watch it so i can't say what their problem was)'... would shut up and go away.

@@jake6132 I work in a school board as a trustee a catholic board. They use the words of bad cardinals and bishops and especially the Popes words to excuse the sins against the 6th and 9th. Without someone shedding light on what the magisterium teaches and teaching that the popes opinions are not infallible is critical. Because of this they are all confused and think social justice is more important. I know it's easier to hear that everyone is doing awesome but souls are at stake. Little children are scandalized because of these erroneous teachings or opinions on a plane. I had to deal with that by hearing them quote these bishops, cardinals and especially the Pope when I went against the pride month. We need truth not lies!

@@nataliabenoit4653 That is certainly a problem, excusing sin; however, that's more an issue of catechesis and media consumption. We consume what we want to hear. So, someone who is lax will take in information that excuses sin, for example. What they don't take in are the obvious stances on abortion, gender ideology, etc. that the Holy Father has taken. Don't get me wrong. There are bishops and cardinals teaching error and rationalizing sin. This is clearly wrong and their flocks need to point this out. Pope Francis's magisterium is consistent with that of St. John Paul II's and Pope Benedict XVI's. The failure of those who are rationalizing sin is on them for not investigating the pope's words, but just the spin that their media outlet of choice has put on the pope's words.
