Texas is really the last place in the US where women wear high heels. They haven’t been seen in California for over thirty years, they’re considered unnecessarily uncomfortable and pretentious. Texas style is unlike the rest of the US, we don’t wear all that heavy makeup and big hair, either. Most of the US dresses like Europeans do, thank goodness. If they held their conferences here in San Francisco, or in New York, women’s styles would be very different, and much better, in my opinion.
