Skirts and dresses are definitely my favorite, especially in warmer weather!

The red jersey skirt is so beautiful on you! This kind of red really suits you. Great capsule, thanks for sharing!

Thanks Jenny! That bright red shade has become a new favorite of mine over the last few years. I'm glad I branched out of my color comfort zone to try it!

I really like the sweater over maxi skirt pairing! I have never been one for dresses or skirts, but I could definitely see myself wearing them in this effortless sort of way. I also love that yellow sweater you crocheted, and you wear it so well! Yellow has always been a favorite color of mine, but it never seems to look right on me unless it’s an earthy undertone or an ochre. I’m also not very adventurous with colors, so that could also be an underlying issue...😂

Thank you! Yellow is a difficult color for me to wear too as a lot of shades don't suit my skin tone. I understand the struggle!

I need to learn how to use a sewing machine! I just got a basic one yet I don't know where to start. Did somebody teach you or are you self taught?

Hello Margherita. I started making my own clothes at the end of 2019 and I got hooked. I bought a book called “Love at first stitch” by Tilly Walnes. It comes with 5 patterns and it is like a sewing course. There are other ways to do it. Sew Over It have online lessons which also come with patterns. These are English based but available worldwide.

My mom taught me the basics when I was young. A lot of my skills are self taught now because working with patterns, making your own, and understanding garment construction are well beyond what I learned as a kid. I definitely second the recommendation to read sewing resource books. I also watched a lot of sew along videos when I was learning and it helped me understand the main steps in making different types of clothing. Good luck on your sewing journey!
