in Tibetan buddhism its so important that when we meet a any rinpoche we should take time to actually observe him over a period of time and not to follow blindly but to have the courage and wisdom to judge if he is the one we want to follow for life. many people refuse to accept reality and have the guts to to address the real problem. in today buddhism tons of so called rinpoche have misuse power, money and the reputation of buddhism to harm others. keep our eyes open, our heart pure and focus.

Thank you so much! Nothing is a problem when "Crazy Wisdom" is your guide. As far as I see it "Crazy Wisdom" is another word for undiagnosed and untreated mental illness.

Thank you for your wonderful soul ! You open up and are very honest. The difference between Sogyal Rinpoche and a real buddhist seeker is that you have an innocent childlike heart ! The enlightend Being has a real inner wisdom which you can't discribe in Words.You become a humble loving Person with a heart full of love and Empathie. Allways listen to people with your heart. I am trusting with my heart.I I am trusting the 14.Dalai Lama because of his childlike smile that comes directly from his innocent heart. I am feeling with you because you trusted this unworthy person called Sogyal Rinpoche.Please loose everything but never loose your trust.In this World are many more honest people like yourself. I hope you meet more good and kind people. I like Minghur Rinpoche he has also this childlike smile. I don't see him as a Guru more as one of many friends on the path to Enlightement ! But I don't depend on him. I wish you all the best from Germany ! Love & Light from Elsa

I have heard: Sogyal has, years and years ago, been asked by Dujom Rimpoche to come back to India in retreat and leave his activities, so what about that. He did not follow the advice of one of the highest teacher of Nyingma tradition, and a very trustworthy and Moral one for a change

"when the student is open and exposed to th guru, if the guru's interest is drawn immediatly to the disciple's wallet, thighs or toes, there could be grave consequences. The guru is supposedly the enemy of the emotions: his sole interest should be in unveiling ignorance. Not adding ignorance, emotions and confusion." Stop calling him "Rinpoche"-he doesn't deserve the title. I understand your desire for an apology but that will never happen. Don't let "closure" depend upon getting an apology because you will never get it. These lamas have no respect for women whatsoever. They see us as lower than animals and think absolutely nothing of using and abusing us with impunity and without remorse. There is no apology coming.

Sogyal likes to just dismiss people saying "you don't know the teachings". If anything this is why he has failed, because he doesn't say whay, where, what or how we don't know and make a logical correction. Saying teachings back he should just say "just so, just so" if it is quoting him - it applies to all beings - students and teachers. Hiding some secret knowledge that some how is different from what he taught that we can never know is called spiritual bypassing ... the higher views are in sync and don't override the basic or mahayana teachings AT ALL - that was taught by so many of the experts he brought in to teach Rigpa students. I appreciate your ability to be open and put it all out there. I hope Sogyal hears this. Its not that the road to hell is paved with good intentions - its just that everyone says their intentions are good, even utopian political dictators who commit vast war crimes say "my intentions were good". When you personally benefit far more on a relative level than someone else then it is a selfish act ... when someone offers freely and makes sacrifices that is different than when it is demanded, coerced etc.

There are no teacher other than your own consciousness and your relationship with that consciousness is my opinion. We have all different personalities and past experiences and we have all a so called Buddha nature. The teacher is only there to be a strong mirror so that you can see yourself clearer. It all comes to that only you yourself have responsibility for your actions and your attachments. So I suppose everyone that says they have been treated badly from Sogyal always have had the freedom to say no or leave that situation. My question to everyone that say that Sogyal was a bad guy is WHO HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS ???

This is really brilliant. Clear and succinct. I followed a Swami for many years but fortunately at a distance. Here in Australia we had a Royal Commission into Institutional Child Abuse and it came to light that my Guru in India was a sexual preditator

Well said, I agree with all you have said, this is a lesson not to put lamas on a pedestal, be careful who you choose as your teacher, be aware, don't look for a film star type of teacher, crazy wisdom is such an excuse for bad behavior, I tell you what if any lama abused me, punching etc, what ever abuse, I would report it right away to the authority's , and for people to think that abusive behavior is OK, get you heads right, think about it. think about the lord Buddhas teachings.

If you had been a victim and you had been severely traumatized, one of the worst things someone could tell you is: ‘let it go, is enough, just be happy’. Healing severe trauma doesn’t work like that unfortunately

Pe ma you let it go, and go away. Leave this woman alone, she has suffered enough. What karma do you create for yourself by criticizing her and increasing her suffering? You have no understanding of trauma. Have compassion for the suffering of others.
@mistyfog

Maybe she needs to make these videos to process her trauma. Let her! Your criticisms are not helpful. Go away and work on yourself. Leave her alone, let her be. You are the one who needs to let it go.

Enlightenment is beyond concept..no place for judgement.....when your mentality is perfect... world seems perfect platform...otherwise you will see all shits and dirts..... what you expressed and sees in others is what you have in you....i hope this is vijrayana view... In relative level...there is no perfection in this world.... but for trantrayana practioner... every moment, every place and action, every being is perfect... they see all as budha's menifestation( all good and bad since it is one and the same thing)..... so tehlia... budha and budhafield is infront of you.. but your delusion/ 5 poison prevented from seeing it....
