"One life, one choice, one moment can destroy the entire universe." - The Watcher I don't think I will ever forget that line and That conversation between Strange and The Watcher at the end of that episode gave me chills man and to just see Strange crying "I'm sorry" when all the universe is destroyed because of him was heart rending and I was so sure things would work out but it didn't. What if...keeps getting better and better. I never expected an episode like this. It was genuinely scary to see Strange crack to the point where he sacrificed the universe and still never got the one he loved. But like The Watcher sticks to his job description man. He does not interfere. Somebody give the man a raise cause he is doing his job haha. (Me trying to joke because this episode really cracked my mind). WOW. Way to go Marvel for not being scared to cross the line.

I didn’t know if you knew, “O-Bengh” is actually none other than Cagliostro himself!! I FLIPPED OUT when he introduced himself! He is the author of the book Dr Strange was seeking and also was the book that was used by the cult in the Dr Strange movie to draw upon the Dark Dimension. Also he’s alluded to in WandaVision in the end credits when Wanda is reading the Darkhold to learn astral projection, he is the MASTER of that portion of the Darkhold. I think he’s going to possibly be an important character for phase 4!

Yeah, both he and Darth Vader lost everything, consumed by anger and lust for power. They might’ve had good intentions but in the end, they’ve destroyed everything. Except Anakin’s universe was still intact and he had his children at the very end, but Strange literally has nothing left, no universe, no Christine, nothing. Death is a natural part of life and nothing lasts forever, the only thing we can do is cherish those we love and the moments spent, but we must not lose our way.

So technically this was a success. In "our" timeline Strange mangled his hands but Christine lived. In the timeline we just watched she died. In that timeline she HAD TO die. Strange accidentally pruned that timeline.

Also something to consider. In the movie Mordo was the first one to warn him about the actual dangers of the Time Stone instead of giving vague responses like the Ancient One did here. Cause Mordo specifically warned him about creating alternate timelines, paradoxes, and time loops, and basically told him that messing with the fabric of reality never ends well. If Mordo had been in this episode, I wonder if his warnings could have deterred Strange from going down this path.

That’s because in the movie Strange and Christine had already broken up. In this universe, Strange wasn’t so much of a prick to Christine and they were still together. That’s why in the movie he was driving alone and here, they’re driving together. Them staying together was the nexus event that solidified her place in Strange’s life and caused her death to be an absolute point. In the MCU, the absolute point is his hands. Here it’s her death. If the paradox only requires that he becomes Dr. Strange could he accomplish that by ensuring another event occurs that turns him into Dr. Strange? Like breaking his hands and looking for a cure? Also, though this may not apply as this is the MCU, could he not just resurrect her through non-time travel? There is non-time travel magic capable of bringing back the dead. Dr. Strange in the comics has used it a few times before to resurrect people. The paradox only seems to require that events play out so that Stephen becomes Dr. Strange and that dude is defeated. Time breaking when those events aren't allowed to occur. Once those events are allowed to play out, and he does his thing, she should be safely resurrectable. We know that people can be safely resurrected without destroying the timeline, as that's the entire plot to End Game. If this was not the case then resurrecting all those people, 50% of the universe, all of whom would massively alter the timeline with their actions, would have destroyed the universe.

Yea changing time without removing its influence on him was the mistake. In these universes its a living force of its own so ya gotta deal with it first. He could have brought her back to life but he can't paradox himself. That also means he can't change the cause because it would undo this version of him, which means the same paradox happens. He shoulda just revived her the normal way.

NO. Each universe has it OWN Point. In Ours he loses his hands, 1 he loses his eyes, his legs, THIS One he had to lose Christine. He Can' become Dr Strange without any of those things happening first in order to be able to go back in time to change things. SO in Order for Him To Become DR Strange to change things she has to die if she doesn't he Can't go back and change anything its a Paradox.

HI Trey and Tasha, I saw this episode last night and I could not get to sleep afterward. Definitely would not want to see a live-action of this episode. Like, Trey said when Strange was absorbing all those demons, "I'm out." In watching your reaction video, I do realize that Marvel is getting really dark in order to prepare us for Multiverse of Madness. I think Dr. Strange is going to be going into very dark places in the multiverse.
