In the Legends novels, Exar Kun's spirit inhabited the Sith temples in Yavin4 and tried to corrupt Luke's students with using the dark side as an entry way into possessing their body. What if Galen Marek's being deep in the dark side and full of rage&using of Force Lightning awakens Exar Kun's spirit inside the Sith temple. It absorbed the Force lightning, amplifying it and with all the rebel's death energies especially Kenobi&Luke's death, it reactivated Kun's spirit transfer ritual but instead of ascending into a very powerful force spirit, Marek's body is already present inside the temple is a focus structure of dark side energy, like Darth Vitiate/Valkorian, Kun's spirit ends up corrupting Galen Marek&possessing his body. So when Palpy tried to take over Marek, he didn't expect that he was already possessed by Kun's spirit which is more powerful&like a vampire consuming any force energies.

I can totally picture Galen’s dad appearing as a Force Ghost or at least a voice in the Force encouraging him to team up with and help with Leia’s training on Dagoba where Yoda is ect… Warning him and then getting his son to warn Yoda and Leia that somehow Sidious is still alive probably in a clone of Anakin’s body after essence transferring it from Snoke who if, I recall correctly is a clone of Palpatine.

Loved Starkiller's characterization in this, fully what I'd expect if Palpatine trained him, without Vader's influence. He's basically a perfected Maul, stronger in the force yet while not as cunning has more unyielding will than even Maul

1 key difference here Obi Wan died while dueling Vader on Death Star 1 the 4 parts Han Chewie Leia & Luke fled and took part during War of Hoth Luke went twice first to Dagobah then Cloud City on Bespin to duel with Vader lost his limb and somehow survived due to shear willpower they will later be joined with Lando initially played by Donald Glover in Solo but played by Billy Dee Williams twice meanwhile Leia then called slave Leia used the chain to strangle Jabba with Lando using the disguise Luke used the green lightsaber after R2 sent it to his hand Ewoks would show up on Endor and turn the tables on Empire the Confederacy of Rebellion due to Rebellion using the Clones tactics with hit run sabotage assassination notably stealing speeder motorcycles using Paploo the Rebels with Lando Han and Nick Dasante being Commander Captain Rex in the Rebellion form end up blowing the shield generator but doing so Luke then dueled Vader for a while lost only for Vader then a copy of Anakin used the strength to get rid of the incarnate Emperor throwing him down when he does the Vader armour gets burned but Anakin ends up returning to the light side which triggered celebration freedom 1 as for Han he would live on for a while until 34 years after war on Yavin when during War on Star-killer Base Jacen now called Kylo killed the dad only to get redeemed in Episode 9 when Leia healed her son passed away later though actress no longer there leaving a tribute statue of her in game Ben then dueled Emperor mummy result Rey knocked out however Ben saved Rey again only for Ben to die soon after instantly deleting the incarnate thus triggering celebration freedom 2 which results in all planets where notable characters of Star Wars come from celebrate a second time the first time Empire no more due to Rebel victory but a second one the light empire is no more due to Resistance victory.

I think you missed a beat regarding the Death Star and Tagge being in charge. Tarkin was initially hestiant to letting the Falcon escape with the princess in order to track them to the rebel base to Yavin 4. But Vader convinced him to do so anyways. Tagge himself opposed the creation of the Death Star and was more skeptical about its supposed invincibility. Favoring the navy instead. There would be no way in hell Tagge would allow the princess escape and if forced them to escape by Obi-Wan they wouldn't have thought about planting the device on the Falcon. As they would have locked down the hangar and done more measures to STOP THEM. The reason the troopers missed so much was they weren't allowed to kill them. Han and Chewie would be dead they went headlong into an entire barracks of troopers. Without orders to keep them alive they would be dead. Luke and Leia would likely get captured due to troopers using stun blasts. The troopers chasing the two shot at them countless times and had every opportunity to use stun blasts to recapture the princess. With this Luke would be caught too. Obi-Wan would be a rogue element but could probably cause endless headaches for the imperial commanders and try to rescue Luke eventually. This would draw inquisitors or Galen back to the Death Star. I think you didnt pursue the likely what iff scenarios and wanted to stay safe sticking too closely to the original timeline with this one... PS: Tagge would have sent the Death Star's TIES out to intercept the rebels. It was Tarkin's arrogance not to scramble fighters. It was only Vader's own personal squadron that lead the charge to defend the Death Star's reactor shaft. This wouldnt happen with Tarkin not in charge any other commander? Scramble fighters. Its standard practice. Rebellion would be dead...
