tbh yeah it's pretty good that Padme and Anakin just decides to leave and didn't try to be heroes, they just noped outta there and became background characters. Sidious lost his priced pupil, Padme survives, the twins never got separated, and we already see there's multitudes of common folks and extremists, like Saw Gerrera, Bail Organa, Andor, Luthen, all were already ready to fight the Empire, they might even succeed in more battles and boost their morale because there's no "killing machine" Vader crushing the rebellion. So yeah, the Empire would still fall, just probably take 5-10 years longer than in the original timeline did.

I think it would have been funny if it ended with Thrawn becoming the Emperor. Basically, as soon as Sidious died, he decides to join the Rebellion, because he realizes that the Empire cannot win without the support of its people. But, if Thrawn takes the transition of power into his own hands, perhaps he can maintain as much of the Empire's military might as possible, while giving the people the freedom they desire. Thrawn could justify having the Empire assist the Chiss Ascendancy on the basis that the Chiss could pay off some of the Empire's debts in return for saving their society. He'd call it "The War For Penance".

Added thought at the end, the Jedi quietly rebuild on Ahch-To, sending out their most competent knights and Masters under disguise, because they still want to save young Force Sensitives. A lot of that is Bail managing a version of the Path - maybe what I am guessing may happen in canon with two of the early members of the Path being Quinlan and Asajj, after Quin finds out Ventress was revived by the Ichor of Dathomir. It is the Path that finds and gets a little baby Bridger to Ahch-To, where he has the chance to grow up safely a Jedi, and as one of the Jedi sibs of teh Skywalker twins. One of the Seeker-Knights is Baylan Skoll, who comes across a young girl, Shin Hati (who is around the age or younger then Ezra, so he finds her a few years after 66), who he brings home so she grows up in the recovering Jedi Order as well. On Baylan, having survivors of the Order to touch base with, and a home to go back to when he needs means he never fully falls to cynicism, so he keeps his faith in the Jedi, with the understanding that they are recovering, but he gets to see that recovery and the changes they make while doing so. The Clones, after rebelling, end up becoming low-key supports to the Jedi, with Rex successfully gathering as many Clones as possible and de-chipping them, and afterwards leads up a watch group who keeps an eye out for Force Sensitives to relay the location to Bail who calls for Seekers to pick up. Omega remains with the Bad Batch, and they are instrumental in getting Gungi to a pick-up so he gets to Ahch-To. Maybe the 'Batch visit Ahch-To to see how Force Sensitive their Ori-Vod-ika (Omega - "Big-Little-Sibling") really is. Bonus - Caleb goes to Ryloth as they have gotten word through either Bail or the Clones that there are a few Force Sensitive Twi-Leks to pick up and take to safety. The mission ends up a bit of a shmozzle and Caleb's ship is lost, but Cham's bright young pilot daughter offers her fixer-upper ship (and Destroyer of Worlds droid) as transport for Caleb and the kids he came to collect. As a result, Hera becomes a Jedi Order contractor, and she and Caleb form a growing relationship. It is about when Caleb's Padawan Ezra is 17 that Hera gives birth to Jacen Syndulla-Dume. Pypey is Jacen's big brother who finds the tiny green-haired baby curiously cute.

Nice Story! I would like a different version of THIS story where when Yoda, Obi-Wan and Mace Windu went and face the emperor, they all died. This makes the chosen one prophecy EVEN MORE important and he HAS to face the emperor. But what about padme? He won't leave her. He CANNOT leave her, especially now that Luke and Leia are born. Even having Ahsoka around is not enough for him to go. What will Anakin do? Continue staying with padme, ahsoka and the kids and stay on the run or......face the emperor and potentially dying to save not just the galaxy but everyone who is important to him

@viever1018 Even if the three Jedi Masters failed to kill the emperor, Anakin need not face Sidious immediately in order to stop him. The Empire lacks it's chief enforcer in this timeline either way, so significantly fewer rebels will be killed off, including many people who are important to him already, and the rebellion will grow much stronger for it. I can see Anakin gaining enough confidence in the safety of his family once Luke & Leia are fully trained in the force by him & his little sister Ahsoka. (In doing so, he'll focus on building a better Jedi Order from the ground-up before fighting the mastermind of the Clone Wars. (This of course means the lack of a "No Attachments" rule in practice.)) Once that's done, he and Padme can focus on leading the Rebel Alliance to victory over Palpatine. Ultimately, Anakin need not fight Palpatine within the short-term in order to fulfill the prophecy. Instead, plotting a long-term plan (15-20 years) would work better for the galaxy, and the reborn Jedi Order overall.

It's kinda always the case. The republic and empure never had much control over outer rim and many mid rim worlds. When palpatine died, many officers started their own thing, throwing the empire in a civil war. The new republic was at first composed of worlds allied to the rebellion, which explains why they had some form of unity. And even then, the republic doesn't have a very tight grip over internal affairs of each world, they mainly provide support and help coordinate relations between world. So basically they are closer to the UN than to a formal government

@locoarticwolf2181 This is precisely why stories in which Anakin remains a Jedi also will always please us because, If Anakin was destined to bring The Balance Of The Force then it was better if Anakin, as a Jedi Padawan, was sent back in time by the Old Jedi Order to temporarily train with The Je'daii Order through Time Travel. Then, they can send him to temporary training for example, with Potentium and then, decide whether Anakin should be made a Jedi Knight or not. And Anakin as the Jedi Shadow completely destroying all the Sith Knowledge about The Dark Side Of The Force could also be a great way to show Anakin's Chosenness because, judging by the History of Darth Gravid, the Sith are clearly afraid of the complete destruction of all their knowledge of the Dark Side Of The Force more than their own destruction due for the Jedi.

And negative emotions. So that they are not spoiled by their Abilities. And their Special Powerful like for example, Tuatha From The Charmed. And so that they do not have time to form the desire to use their Abilities to commit atrocities with evil intentions. And with evil motives. And they can't communicate. And see Their Family Members because, if they love them. They prepare with some other survivors like Ashoka and others. They defeat the Sith and help to restore peace to the Galaxy. Jedi reinstated and Empire becomes the republic. Part 3?😂

Things still play out and work out as we know in the original timeline, except Anakin Skywalker has now reached his true full potential, achieved true perfect balance in the Force and the rest. I leave it to you. Maybe he can say qui Gon, free his mother and be with Padme. Because those two are meant for each other, they are destined for each other till the end. Right bro. But again, it's all up to you. But here are my last few ideas. You can add Anakin Skywalker learning, mastering, and using the middle side of the Force, the Bendu, as well as learning and using both aspects of the Force, the Living Force and the Cosmic Force. As we know darth vader was a natural engineer and could use technoguru or whatever so what if he used skill to create nanobots to repair his lungs and burns while also making limbs that could conduct the force to make lightning. This could relate to inquisitor baris as she used nanobots in the bomb and he may remember nanobots and their uses.
