Imagine being the republic security counsel. The Supreme Chancellor excutes a purge of the Jedi claiming they turned against the republic. Moments later a massive spacecraft appears over Coresaunt and nukes the senate building from orbit. Killing the Supreme Chancellor, the majority of the senators, and millions of various executive beauracrats, not to mention untold civilians. Then the grand master of the Jedi order contacts you, from said space craft, demanded you stop purging his fellow Jedi. Bruh, in this timeline Sideous was right. The jedi truely have taken over.

That OP Starship is near indestructible, and has very special missiles/torpedoes that can destroy entire Stars/Suns. Thus, also dooming entire Solar Systems as well. P.S. And don't forget about the World Devastators that are basically the same "planet destroyers/super-factories" like the Star Forge was. And other honorable mentions; Like the Galaxy Gun, Eclipse Dreadnought-Class SSD's 1 & 2, Eye of Palpatine's Asteroid, The Tarkin Ship, and Centerpoint Station. Or even a fully rebuilt or upgraded Malevolence II. Or it's "Sister Ship"; The Devastation, which is basically the same thing. Nearly everybody will be screwed if any of those multiple Super Weapons that I listed were also found, repaired, and/or built/created very early during the Clone Wars as well?

I like the concept but I think things ended too cleanly. I think more realistically Palpatine would have used the Death Star's arrival as another piece of evidence to support his claim that the Jedi were trying to take over. From trying to arrest him to now having a battle station loom over the capital planet of the Republic, this would have turned the already negative opinion towards the Jedi into full on support against them with them easily being painted as religious warmongers. Even without this, I doubt anyone would come close to trusting the Jedi or believing anything they say. They just destroyed a key piece of Coruscant, resulting in the deaths of not just the Chancellor but people both in the Executive Building and surrounding areas and leaving a piece of Coruscant a smoldering crater. Whats stopping folks from thinking the Jedi fabricated their evidence? None of the people they are accusing are alive to defend themselves and the Jedi hold a super weapon under their disposal pretty much saying "Believe us. We have the big gun.". At the very least a mass Jedi exile would happen. No one would want to trust the Jedi anymore after the war and the destruction of the Executive Building. I can see the Jedi leaving the Republic and finishing the Death Star to convert into a new Jedi Temple, thats if they don't get pursued by the governments of the Galaxy wishing to claim that technology for themselves or simply destroy it.
