Quick head ups to everyone watching, Twisted101 kinda did an oopsie when he published this method and forgot auf while also using move optimal (not speed optimal) algs, avg movecount is not 46. TLDR: I highly recommend APB over epidote for everyone. Fixed movecount below + comparison with APB: 2x2x3: 12 moves dBR Pair: 5.61, this is genned fully speed optimal [RUFfSD] including auf and has ~250 cases which you will need to learn a good chunk of as algs since there are a lot of unintuitive cases (but they’re like 5-6 moves still not that hard) or learn less at the cost of more moves. EOLC: 7.33+0.75, 6.4 is using move optimal algs with no AUF. When regenning for speed optimal the movecount is around 7.33 then add 0.75 for AUF. E2CP: 9.1+0.75, 9.1 is taken directly from the algs that twisted himself learnt, then +0.75 for AUF again. 2GLL: 13.1+1.5. There is both pre and post AUF that is forgotten, so add 1.5 moves. Total: 50.14 moves As for comparisons to APB, firstly we did update APB in the discord a while back but just didn’t publish it anywhere. The main variant is now solving dBR then just doing beginner EO (11 algs) since we decided EOPair didn’t provide enough benefit for the alg count (128) and it only ended up increasing the movecount by about 0.3 so the total for APB is around 48.0x iirc. This means the first 2 steps of APB and Epidote are identical. EO is better than EOLC in terms of recognition, movecount, and ergonomics. LXS is better than E2CP in terms of recognition, movecount, and ergonomics. Then ZBLL is worse than 2GLL in terms of recognition, movecount and ergonomics. Epidote’s improvement in LL doesn’t justify the drawbacks of the other two alg sets so overall ergonomics and recognition will be worse than APB. Epidote certainly does have less algs, but all of this saving comes from ZBLL, a significantly more developed and optimised set than all the other steps, which if you don’t want to learn you can just do OCLL PLL and then APB will only have 11 EO algs and 116 LXS “algs” then you learn ZBLL later or overtime as you improve. So if you want the fastest method, use APB, if you want less algs use APB with OCLL PLL, if you like Epidote use Epidote.

Ye what he said, also for the last time (this is to everyone) if u using epidote u better know that ur times aren’t (likely) gonna be better than with ur normal method. Epidote is mainly just a cool method if u r just too lazy to learn apb (like me 💀) and also just want to learn a cool fun method. Tho if u want to use it then do that, cuz it’s definitely somewhat speedsolvable (emphasis on somewhat). It made my times go from 14 to 16 seconds which is bad, but not too far off.

This reminds me a bit of a method I've made. The steps are: 1. 1x1x3 2. 1x2x3 on bottom 3. (pseudo)-2x2x3 4. CPEO - orients the edges while "permuting" the corners - making the finish 2gen 5. Solve 2gen (6. Align if pseudo) This method requires some tracing during inspection, which you use to solve the corners during CPEO. This is also why the first step is fairly simple in itselfz although ideally you could solve more stuff at the same time. The step has 64 algs of 3-8 moves each. Nice video, I like how the method reduces the cube. Btw, I'd gladly help with genning algs if you're interested:)

@@ulrikbredland6965 it’s in the server. The main variant is already generated. You’ll have to talk to twisted. I know they need some optimization.

It made as an alternative to APB as its pretty much equal just less algorithms. So however APB stands.
