Wouldn't fairy type moves be neutral against Infernape? Fighting is weak to fairy yea but fire resists fairy so wouldn't that cancel eachother out into neutral damage

Exactly what I was thinking because even though fire type moves don’t deal double damage to fire type moves, fairy type moves aren’t effective against fire types. Which means that hyper voice would be neutral against infernape, giving infernape a fighting chance at beating gardevoir.

@@maximumgamer6286 yea though honestly this was kind of a let down part it had its moments especially by giving Ash Darmanitan and Scollipede 2 Pokemon he should of caught as well as giving Cilan Swadloon because seriously why did a grass type gym leader only catch 2 Pokemon since joining Ash WHEN NEITHER are grass types But honestly besides that there wasn't really much to enjoy this part he brought in bloody Burgundy and even Cameron of all characters 😑 yet we didn't see Virgil A RIVAL ASH HAS NEVER EVEN BATTLED and instead replaced him with some random trainer from Kalos who odds are won't be in part 6 yea it was to introduce Ash to Kalos, Mega evolution and fairy types but couldn't Virgil of just had a Sylveon and after the battle shows Ash mega evolution? Surely he has other Pokemon besides his Eevee action squad or at least A Pokemon who can Mega evolve like a Gallade or Sceptile or something

The What if was really good. My only complaint is that Mega Gardevoir's Fairy type move should not have been super effective against Infernape, as Infernape's fire typing keeps it from taking super effective damage from fairy type moves. Because of its fire typing, Infernape only receives normal damage from fairy type moves.
