If you want a funny gimmick, Kyogre can provide Toucannon with 150 Special Attack and give it brutally powerful Sheer Force Hurricanes in the rain.

Forget Toucannon, imagine any Pokemon that has access to Boomburst with Kyogre’s Sp.Atk. That’d be the stuff of nightmares, especially considering most Boomburst users don’t have a very high Sp. Atk. Toucannon seems to be a big winner in the format too. Sp.Atk for Sheer Force, Speed for fast Skill Link shenanigans, HP or either defenses for Beak Blast tanking… it benefits hugely from practically any stat that isn’t attack.

The fact that Electrode CAN NOT learn Rapid Spin or Overheat to this day is beyond me. A fast ball that spins. Cant rapid spin, while a slow one like forretress can. Literally overheats as it explodes, cant learn overheat. Primeape can because its hot headed. Why Game Freak. WHY.

Honestly this seems like a format that would be fun in a single player game. The player keeping a shrine where you place a pokemon to act as a blessing for your other Pokemon. So throughout the game you might want to continuously catch new Pokemon to replace it, and getting new upgrades such as being allowed to share more stats.

I really like archaludon with kyogre’s special defense as you get 140 sp. Def and 130 def with 125 special attack and stamina. Then you can use electroshot in the rain and it becomes an insane wall with incredible special attack that can be boosted too

Hello mr Jimothy Thank you for letting me know about this metagame. It's the most fun i had this generation - the theorycrafting alone! Im not a great teambuilder yet but I'm a very creative person and its a great feeling to do 6-0 sweeps with underexplored shitmons. And i have so many ideas for much more teams or pokemon that i haven't seen in the game yet! It's truly marvelous how one stat can absolutely reinvent a way pokemon plays. For example while not the strongest fella out there I once faced a special attacking Snorlax and i think its a very cute and intelligent use of gen 1's bloated special movepools. Great stuff!

I haven’t played this in a while but one of my favorite recipients was alolan marowak in trick room. Give it a massive attack stat and flare blitz in the sun starts KO-ing everything neutral and many resists. A single swords dance if needed becomes a delete button till trick-room runs out. You didn’t even need to dedicate a whole team to trick room for it to work.

I actually know the terror of toxipex but with HP in Pokemon Infinite Fusion. I fused Blissey with Toxipex and it just sat there and never died once the rest of the playthrough and that wasn't nearly as broken as 255 HP Toxipex would be.

The god is either: a single Ubers pokemon, the only one of those your team can have, or the normal pokemon in your 1st (hp) slot if you don't choose to use an Ubers mon.
