i think it was recently discovered that earth might have about three times as much water trapped under deep inside the mantle than it does on the surface / crust. so even if all surface water is gone, eventually the planet would get its water back. but i don't think humans surviving is at all possible. unless we were already on other planets and just came back.

What if: Mars use to be in the habital zone which has changed now to include Earth rather than Mars. Hence some inhabitants migrated to Earth. In so much as the Earth had nothing to continue a Martian life style, they converted back to a primative state of life style. When any and all suplies eventually ran out. If so, at some point it (habital zone) will encompase Venius and not Earth. Some will go there and eventually run out of supplies and redort to a primative culture.

I think it would be neat to invert the order of the planets, or put the planets in order from largest to smallest in their respective orbits. For example, it would be Jupiter in Mercury's orbit, Saturn in Venus's orbit, and so on. It might not be the most exciting thing on its own, but maybe throw a few dwarf planets at the Sun and then you'll have yourself a good time! That'd be neat to see!
