I bought this game shortly after its release, it was between this and BF1942. I still remember holding both boxes in my hands at Walmart trying to decide. I was so glad I picked Renegade, played this game for 10 straight years, multiplayer was another level of fun. It was the only game I've ever played on multiplayer that I would have fun matter what was going on, I could lose 10 matches in a row and I would still have fun every minute. Marathon matches were insane (50 vs 50); I remember playing the same round for 6 hours, going to sleep for 8 hours, then going to work for 8-9 hours, coming back home login back on, and the same round would still be going on the next day.

The automatic audio ducking during the intro part of the video (about 1:10-1:30) sounds horrible. Please manually adjust the background sound and your own, because it constantly spikes every time your voice lowers down for a tiny bit.

Renegade was a blast and I actually played it semi-competitive for two years until the cheating situation became unbearable. But I’m still friends with people from that era. It’s a pity that Renegade X never has been taken over by EA to distribute because it’s a blast to play. But unfortunately it’s not on any gaming platform so not very accessible. The bad part for Renegade was just that Battlefield has been far more hyped and a little bit more refined for the masses and just as innovative.
@RedShocktrooperRST13 күн бұрын
Honestly RenX being standalone is why it's still around. EA likes to deliberately play dumb with these fan projects.
@BeX3221013 күн бұрын
@@RedShocktrooperRST they’re not actually dumb. RenX has a license to use all trademarks, brands, copyrighted stuff as well as their engine non-commercially. It’s very hard to predict how the people involved would react if EA took over and also there might be an issue regarding copyrights from RenX contributors.

@RetroGamingGoose game footage volume lower and your commentary higher.
@TimmyInTarky13 күн бұрын
@@JackTheNoober just manually adjust the volume and don't allow the automatic audio balance between your mic and the background sound. If you are just live talking while having the video in the background and not combining them manually, disable the Windows Microphone Audio Ducking feature. Or at least that is what it was once called. Some softwares also call it that way may be - audio ducking means that when the mic detects your voice it lowers the other background sounds. But this is horrible for viewing experience and people that talk in short sentences and not constant loud/strong voice (your voice is handsome, don't get me wrong, just this implementation of audio mixing leaves no pause between the volume changes and makes it very sudden).
@MSTRCMDR12 күн бұрын
@@TimmyInTarky very well said, great explanation. I would also recommend writing a scrip as it seemed that this commentary was spoken freely, as it would make your points coming across clearer without searching for the right words. But all in all - i liked the video
