As I was replaying dead rising, that was something that stood out to me. The mall is really scenic and impressive, but, there actually isnt anything to do there. Which is why i really like dead rising 2 since there is so much do by yourself and more set dressing items to have fun with

exactly. DR1, once you level 50, unless you want to do the achievements, doesnt really have that much. DR2 imrpoveo n that since there are many minigames you can do

I honestly love videos like these where you can tell the person making them made it just because they wanted to talk about a weird topic, I think all of the choice's we're nice as well, as for any I'd add, Grape Juice [bottled]: this would be a simple retexture of the wine bottle, but found somewhere else, (Probably in the supermarket) this is meant to be a Phoenix Wright reference, y'know when you see wine replaced with something else like grape juice in various dubs? well in the PW series, that is actually not the case, every time you see a glass bottle referred to as grape juice, it is actually grape juice in the OG Japanese version, it's even cited as Phoenix's favorite drink, and I thought it would be a nice reference. Cup Noodles: Not sure where this would be tbh, but I had an idea of it being another one of those, "Put it in the microwave to make it better" foods, you find the hard noodles, and then you put them in a microwave to make them hot noodles, and Frank would use the drink animation, but still use the eating sounds, and while these don't heal as much as the pizza and meat, they don't spoil like those two do, it's really a tradeoff, do you want something better but risk it spoiling on the way there? or do you carry something not as good, but you can hold onto it for as long as you like? And finally, E-Tank: This is an obvious Mega Man reference, you'd get this the same way you do Arthur's Boxer's, and you will get them at the same time as you do those, basically, it's an infinite respawning healing item you can get from the safehouse that gives you as much as the wine, but you can only carry one at a time.

All the foods you mentioned we didn’t get until dead rising 2 and 3. We got burgers in DR2 and bottle water in DR3
@Xertaron.11 ай бұрын
I didn't even realized untill now that Dead Rising doesn't have any water to drink. I'd like to think that Capcom devs didn't find any in the malls so they didn't included it, even if that's propably not the reason for it's absence :D

There's probably water bottles somewhere in the sequels, or other expansions/dlcs.

I would definitely love if stores and various businesses had more variety to offer the player. They're good for experimenting with weapons, but often in stores I'll just find random chip bags or apples laying around with boxes you might be able to find some extra stuff in. Would be cool for the impressive visuals and distinct names of stores to come with interesting health items to find from there as well.

What if the soda cans had the interesting mechanic or trait of having a very small chance of becoming a drinkable food item once thrown and landing on the ground?
@JakeJakers9 ай бұрын
I thought about that, but I think I'd rather just have the tall 16 oz cans as a separate item.

I don't know if I want Dead Rising to be remade, but that's more so because I don't think they'd remake it, but reimagine it to play like modern action games.

@@JakeJakersI think how RE classic plays and how Dead Rising plays are drastically different enough for Capcom to understand the gameplay appeal of Dead Rising. The series already really lost it's identity thanks to CV trying to make it more generally appealing and Capcom higher ups constantly voiced displeasure with that direction so I doubt they themselves would mess it up nearly as bad as it's already been done. I don't trust capcom as a company in general, but I trust the devs who work there and I think leadership even in it's most questionable times is far better than what CV had.
