Gohan is a saiyan with a lot of potential. He probably would've learned how to fly in just days at most and goten himself learned how to fly easily the instrions or literally in the episode izuku was watching. Plus izuku is supposedly his reincarnation so it should be somewhat instinctive so i find it dumb that it took him 2 years to learn how to fly at most a few months because he is so young but 2 years is to much.

{{{{{fun fact about Gohan and why he had Wasted potential}}}}}} During the Cell Arc, Toriyama wanted to slowly make Gohan to be the Main MC from dragon ball z but because of what he was doing by not making Goku the main spotlight and everything else, his very own fandom attacked him and insulted him saying that gohan would be trash and it ruining his own series, when Toriyama receive such a backlash for such a GREAT idea, he decided after the cell arc that Goku need to be the main MC is was a BAD idea but he had to stop the attacks from the Fandom. gohan had Such a AMAZING potential as a MC since he basically has what Every MC doesn't but instead we get the plain fighting craze Goku, I Love Goku but him as a MC completely sucks. Gohan for life since dragon ball super wasted his potential.

I wouldn’t say he was wasted potential. I’d say it was a smart move by toriyama and it fits with gohans character. Gohan is a pacifist who doesn’t like to fight and he spend most of his life with Chi-Chi raising him to be a scholar. After cell saga there was a 7 year period of peace which allowed gohan to pursue his academic goals. Hence why he slacked in training, buu saga he had amazing moments and so on. After the events of buu gohan went on and started working and stopped training. It all mixes well and it was a smart move by toriyama.
