Dear Mr. GK, I noticed something at the 5:38 minute mark video. The diagram that you have shown is a little misleading as the earth is tilted by an axis of 23.45 degrees and by this the Civil twilight region will not be the same part of the earth (shown somewhere in South America) throughout the year. This is because of the tilt of the earth and the direction of tilt doesn't change throughout the revolution around the sun. As the earth revolves around the sun after the hypothetical rotational stop, different regions of the earth will face the civil twilight throughout the year and not just one part of the earth. If living organisms survive this catastrophe, they will be able to survive at whichever parts of the earth has civil twilight during that time of the year. Let's say North America (in the northern hemisphere) has civil twilight in June, then it's geographical opposite on the globe (say somewhere in the Indian Ocean (southern hemisphere) would have the civil twilight in December (after 6 months). i.e., there are chances of life if it persists, then it will survive at different parts of the earth at different times of the year. Plus day will be of 6 months duration and night will be 6 months of duration. I feel it's not always hot throughout the 6 months and dead cold in the other 6 months. Seasons will still be there, but 2 seasons will happen in day and 2 seasons will happen at night. E.g., first 6 months - DAY (summer and autumn) and the next six months - NIGHT (winter and spring).
