Suggestion: Endorsements should have a much bigger impact on the battle pass. Give them a multiplier on any EXP you get from any action in the game. Such as: 0.5x for lvl0, 0.75x for lvl1, 1.25x for lvl2, 2x for lvl3, 3.25x for lvl4, and 5x for lvl5. Also getting endorsements from a player from the opposing team should have way more value. High endorsement players should also get a higher amount of credits from the Battle Pass / Achievements This would make people think twice before being assholes in chat and in-game, while encouraging being a good sport. If this system were to work, you could implement it in comp (it would not affect the ranking you win or lose, but it should affect the competitive points you get for gold/jade weapons) There could be negative endorsements that could only be used once a day or something, but I fear people would just use them out of spite and not to target toxic players.

yeah for sure, this is a proven idea in gaming already. 5x is maybe a bit more than needed since it does subtract from the "goal-earning" aspects of battle passes, and the penalty for low endorse could also be less severe for a similar reason, but the idea is stellar. also you nailed it, you CAN'T have a negative counter-system especially since it would just let people be assholes anonymously with no downside. getting chat banned will already set to you endorse 0 which is a death sentence in a system like you're suggesting, so that's probably penalty enough

The only issue I see with this is that, as a Sombra and widow player, it's physically impossible for me to get above endorsement 3 on those roles. I'll consistently get more endorsements on support playing ana and brig and will have my endorsement go up significantly before it drops again while playing Sombra and widow for a while. I never really use VC or text chat as a basis. There is just too much hate for some heros to have endorsements actually provide any benefits because it will alienate some people who prefer 'toxic' or 'cheesey' heros.

i think the issue with this is that it would incentive the sombra to only hack tanks. it’d be so much worse for them.

SUGGESTION: Create a "Long Play" mode where the comp system of switching sides happens after a round takes place, but there no SR or ranking like QP.

@@neodaltiair8624 Many people (usually in higher ranks) play scrims with comp rules, which don't have the stakes of ranked comp. We could use a mode like this so that everyone doesn't have to look for scrims.

Blizzard needs to focus on weaker abilities on short cooldowns instead of broken abilities on long cooldowns. Imagine something like Lamp having a damage reduction effect, but having a sub 10 second cooldown. This sort of change would make those heroes feel better to play as (since you feel like you are doing more) and would make them less frustrating to play against. TLDR, no regular cooldown should give the same or more value than Ultimates (they are called ULTIMATES for a reason). No matter how long the cooldown is, they will always be frustrating to play against.

Suggestion: Make a 4th role called *"Brawler"* or make some of the heroes categorized as "flex" (can fill in for two or more roles) I come from Dota 2 and there it's almost mandatory for heroes to be able to flex into 2, 3, or all 5 roles and change up the way they play. There, out of 125+ heroes, only 7 count as "single-role". Upcoming passives are meant to address just that, but what I'm thinking of is to go even further. I propose replacing one of DPS' slots with a 4th *"Brawler"* role, meant for taking some pressure off of the tank or help applying it. So, heroes like Junker Queen, Zarya, Mei, Ball, Bastion, Doomfist, Reaper, etc. This would strip some of the tanks' current responsibilities onto a separate role, allowing them to be balanced in a more clear direction. For example, *"Brawler"* Zarya will have 250hp, her shields can no longer be used on allies, would only be 100hp, but give out 25 energy. *"Brawler"* Bastion could play similarly to his Mirrorwatch counterpart. Alternatively, a solution closer to Dota, is to give some of the heroes the ability to choose roles. Heroes like JK can be slotted as a tank *and* DPS. The latter version would have 250hp and shout will only provide a speed boost, but she will deal more damage per pellet. Zen can be possibly slotted as a DPS, changing his ultimate to one from Mirrorwatch, as an example. And heroes like Brig could possibly slot for all 3 roles, each version being provided unique tweaks. Something like this would be a nightmare to balance, but it will eliminate some of the tanks' current frustrations, as well as provide more flexibility and creativity when it comes to team comps.

a hard stun like this was not fun I didn't even play ov but I can already say giving a tank such a powerfull ability would be dumb (yes I know he was a dps but he was still very good a ton of the time)

I just realized from the suggestion at 13:40 that I haven't clicked on the Arcade tab since they moved Mystery Heroes from it. That was the only thing I played on it, and I don't know if they added anything new.

I watched an old OWL video the other day and seeing Hanzos dragon back from around 2018 was crazy. People died without combos because supports couldn't out-heal the damage of the dragons (very common occurrence these days) Blizzard increasing the HP for everybody in the game instead of reducing the healing has honestly been such a big global nerf and not enough people are talking about it

Hero ability concept: Melee brawler tank in the vein of Reinhardt (thinking lower kill potential but better sustain). Key trait is that they have a barrier that is basically the inverse of Reinhardt’s. The generator is on like a backpack and it projects behind them in a phalanx shape. Character would also get reduced movement speed while walking backwards. My thought is to give them a spear with an ability to throw it and recall the spear back to the hero. Their basic attack would be a forward thrust with a narrower hitbox (compared to other melee weapons) but the ability to headshot. The character is thus forced to choose between shielding themselves from the front and being able to visually track and attack enemies in front. Their specialty would be defending against ana+brig dive comps as they could peel divers while blocking LOS to the enemy backline.

I do really wanna see reverse escort maps. That'd be a fun change of pace. I agree, I do want Lifeweaver's parting gift brought back as well, but only for teammates. I really like that idea, but don't think it makes sense that enemies could ever pick it up. Also I don't think a visual trail on Hanzo's arrows is a bad idea! Obviously it shouldn't be nearly as long as Widow's bullet trail, but just a short white trail that follows behind his arrows would work quite well imo.

Suggestion: Kiriko's suzu should either burst heal targets (let's say 80hp) or cleanse if they have a rebuff (Ana nade, burn, hinder etc.) And maybe keep invulnerability for each instance, just a bit shorter

Suggestion: Make all deployable turrets have duration like Baps immortality field so help in those situations where the turret is making it near impossible to take a point / get past a choke. This would help with the counter play and make the characters with a turret think more about them and not place them in one spot and forget about it / leave It in a god spot until they need to move it or it has been destroyed

I got a crazy suggestion. Perhaps even a hot take: Make Suzu clear enemy buffs as well. Such as an Ana nade, nano (maybe), overshield, zen orb, etc. for example, when whoever has the orb dives you you can get that off of them and heal yourself in the process, though you can still be hit. You could even give it a venom mine-like effect to incentivize people to use it in the new offensive style more. All while also removing the invincibility frames it provides. No more timed dva bombs or saving a poor guy from tracer. In exchange for the invincibility frames being lost, it could take away enemy DR for those few frames that it hits for some crazy burst damage, way more rewarding for good communication. I don't play Kiri much, and I don't have a problem fighting her usually with her abilities. But when I do play her, I often find myself wanting to cleanse enemy buffs to help us with a team fight rather than simply make my team invincible for a few frames

My life weaver suggestion: Instead of making his petal a very obscure throw, I think it should mechanically work more closely to Sym’s TP. A projection should pop up making it more clear where it will be placed!

Naw it’s one of his few expressions of skill and it basically works like most of the other thrown abilities like lamp, pylon, torb turret. Can’t really change one without changing them all

Suggestion: Lifeweaver could have a damage reduction utility like the trialed 'necrotic orb' for Moira. Potentially this utility could be tied to his thorns; landing several consecutive shots on a single target would reduce their damage output for a short time. This would be indicated by a pink/red aura around the player affected. The numbers would be pretty low so they aren't game breaking but still effective, and it would need to have a cooldown between usages after it wears off a target. This would solve some of LW's problems by 1. Making him somewhat of a skillshot character and encouraging mechanical skill, 2. Giving him proactive utility (e.g. hitting a widow on an off angle so her next shot doesn't insta kill), and 3. His overall healing could be reduced as he is now mitigating damage.

suggestion: I come from apex legends and the ranked climb in ow2 feels a bit too grindy. As a gold support player, when a match finishes I gain/lose the same amount of points making my effort seem to go in vain. So I was wondering, why not add more multiplier that only effects the metal ranks, such as elimination/healing in increments of x amount gives you (depending on the rank the multiplier changes) additional +0.5x or whatever multiplier that seems fit to the system, thus rewarding metal rank players like myself to climb faster. Ex) For each 10 elimination/healing or both, gives you 0.5x. 10 elims = 0.5x | 20 elims = 1x | 30e = 1.5x | 40e = 2.0x | suggestion: Illiari should be rewarded for breaking their pylon. In the current build, if Illiari breakes the pylon before it gets destroyed the cooldown is at full 12 seconds. So, how about if the pylon is at 75% health and by pressing the break button rewards player by having less cooldown. Ex) Base cooldown Additional Cooldown * Pylon health in % Total cooldown 6 + (6 * (1-75%)) = 8 (7.5 rounded up)

Mei's left click if shot on someone over time should apply the hinder effect. Her left click is useless is so many scenarios. Similar to her old overwatch 1 freeze

You could do Overwatch Classic with flipped Escort maps. Everything in recent OW lore kinda came from those maps, so you revert everything that ever happend. Doom never gets the gauntlet, so Orisa never exists. Junk and Hog turn their lives around after rethinking the trapped cart. Not sure how Echo and Ashe work, but screw it, they're gone too.

Of course the real life physics wouldn't allow hanzos arrow to make a tail, BUT gameplay-wise it would be way better. Even give hanzo his full 1-shot back but just add a tail. It's what makes widow feel fair even with 1-shots cuz she only gets 1 sneaky chance to hit you or she gives her position away, it's easy to avoid her shots...hanzo on the other hand can just hide a mile back with no way to tell where he is shooting from

That's cause hanzo is a projectile hero and widowmaker is a hitscan. Widowmaker's shot cannot be dodged because she instantly pops your head. Hanzo in the other hand, if you straf against him in mid to long ranges, it is significantly harder for him to hit and land a headshot on you. That's why hanzo have to rely on the element of surprise to catch people when they are walking predictably to maximize value. Hanzo shouldn't get a built trail because it defeats that whole purpose of sneaking up on people.

Hanzo isn't Widow. He relies on stealth to be consistent as once his position is known, enemies can simply AD strafe to avoid getting hit. Widow on the other hand has little issue with this There's a reason why Hanzo is able to wall climb as a passive and widow has grapple on cooldown. She's more consistent so therefore needs to be easier to hunt down Hanzo also doesn't have 1-shot anymore so now needs to play less as a sniper and more as mid-ranged burst damage hero to be consistent. Weapon trails make 0 sense in this case

Suggestion for Brig: Repair packs should be "refunded" if they were somehow sent to full HP allies. They're way more impactful to waste than the healing ammo of other supports. Or simply "x" out the option if you're looking at their direction so you don't give them one by accident.

Suggestion: make a hybrid map where you push the payload then cap a point. Instead of capping point first. (side note I feel like hybrid maps could just be payload maps since the first point is lost after one good team fight for attackers)

10:20 i think bap lamp should allow you to go to zero hp without dying, and if you are on zero hp when the lamp breaks you will die, however you could still be healed in that timeframe so you could go to zero, be healed, then the lamp breaks and youve survived.

Suggestion: I think that Hanzo ult should be able to deal damage to non-player entities (like turrets, minefield and immortality field to name a few). I think this would make Hanzo’s ult a tad bit more useful compared to what it is now

@@Jessespresso Yeah, the damage is lack-luster at best, on top if it now moving faster now, you’re getting hit for a shorter period of time as well. It isn’t even much of a zoning tool anymore either. Not much use at all for the ult sadly

for the hanzo suggestion, what if holding m1 for a fully charged arrow ignited it and caused flame aoe on impact? this "ability" would have a cooldown and it could have a smoke trail effect while traveling.

Suggestion: Sym should have the option to activate teleporter and interact with teleporter using the same button. She can then assign the "destroy teleporter" button to the empty interact button.

Suggestion: in quick play they should add a random hero button if you get bored of choosing hero’s. that way there’s a option to have a fun challenge to see if you can pop off with that hero.

suggestion: Teammates can go to 0 hp in Baptiste lamp but dont die. They die if they leave the lamp or if the lamp is destroyed while they are at 0 hp.

Love the shoutout to Halo 3 Forge MLG maps! There were more than just 2 as well if you count all seasons of MLG maps. Onslaught and Amplified were the two that lasted until the end iirc. Onslaught was CTF 5 flag and Amplified was Slayer. Lockdown was an Oddball map that didn't make it to the end of H3 MLG. Foundry enabled 3 maps that worked insanely well for high level play and that doesn't even touch on the casual fun maps people made. I feel like there was also a Foundry based King of the Hill map at one point although it's been so long since anyone has played koth on anything other than Construct.

Suggestion: They should place more of the stationary heroes in the practice range and give more options. For example allow Rein with shield, Turret bastion, hog vaping constantly, etc..

Suggestion: Going off of the pickable passives that they plan to release on the new quick play hacked, if that doesn't end up making the cut, I think that each hero should have their own specific passive that minorly enhances their kit and flows with their gameplay.

She already has 2 passives and actually for a short time had 3 She had invisibility, dps role passive and bonus damage to hacked targets

Suggestion. Illari's pylon should break when she dies. Otherwise, having an illari as support essentially makes this game 6v5 Suggestion. Revert suzu change but reduce Kiriko's hp to 175. She has the same; arguably better, movement and TTK (but way greater range) as Tracer so why does she have so much more HP? Her power level would be much more healthy to the game if there was any risk associated with picking her. One last suggestion. Add queue time estimates for the other modes. It's crazy you can't tell how long you'd have to wait to play other modes an I can't imagine it's that hard.

Make all spawn rooms have at least 2 exits that can't be seen from the same vantage point. (see: Gibraltar 3rd attackers spawn or where the spawn doors themselves are in totally different areas or Numbani attackers 2nd spawn) Also mute footballs heard by enemies until you physically step out of the spawn room yellow barrier. This won't affect higher ranks nearly as much, but in the metal ranks where the skill expressions are often a bit wider will have an easier time attacking/defending.

Suggestion: Every hero with two distinct weapons or forms should have the option to toggle those weapons using the next weapon swap button (like Mercy and Lifeweaver legacy). Examples of this could include: Sym, Zen, Zarya, Genji, Bap, and Kiriko. Although this may not necessarily fit everyone's playstyle, if weapon swap times are limited, it could be helpful for players who prefer to shoot with their dominant index finger to improve accuracy on their mouse or controller.

Suggestion/Hot take: moiras healing and damage interaction should flip. Instead of needing to deal damage in order to have enough resources to heal, i think she should need to heal to charge/buff her damage. DPS moiras are common in lower rank, so giving them a very strong incentive to actually protect the team and not just flank the whole game would be great. I am fine with moira being easy and fun to damage with, but i think all supports should be incentivised to heal as much as possible, not damage as much as possible (there is a paladins character, a healer angel with a swordgun, who has a fire rate buff that increases the more healing she does. She was easily my favourite character when i played that game and having a similar system in overwatch would be great)

Suggestion: Bring back Parting Gift for LW but give it different effects depending on if it’s picked up by an enemy or an ally. If an ally picks it up, it heals. If an enemy picks it up, maybe a poison, anti, or infrared effect (similar to Sym’s turrets and Sombra’s Hack highlighting their targets)

Torbjorn should run faster while holding the hammer, same goes to Mercy holding a gun and any future other hero that would have a second, generally weaker weapon. Maybe extend the time of changing weapons for balance purposes if this change happens.

Suggestion: you have relented that because luccio has a counter with how many people he is affecting that maybe brig should too. you have also said that the devs cant figure out how they would want to change moira, but that they would like to at some point. how about they make a counter from moira's balls that say how many different people she hit. could change her dynamic into something like a scout. throw a purp ball down a hallway and say how many are coming down that way in comms or chat?

imo, parting gift should still exist and useable by enemies. With how evasive and hard he can be to kill, i think its fair. In the same vein, kiriko should also drop a suzu or ofudas when killed.

Suggestion: Zenyatta's Orbs should empower each other. The damage increase from Discord Orb should only be given to Zen instead of the whole team. A percentage of the extra damage dealt to the Discorded target by Zen empowers the healing that Harmony Orb does. When Harmony Orb is active, Discord Orb's damage increase goes from 15% to 30%. Zen has always been a good duelist and I believe a change like this fits his aesthetic and would also encourage DPS Zens to use Harmony more often.

Suggestion: mei should receive a movement speed buff when she sprays her primary fire on the ground, because she is walking/slipping on ice. Kind of like frozone from the incredibles. I think maybe a 10-20% increase would be fair. Mostly thinking about it being useful for getting out of spawn

Suggestion: Have Mystery Heroes be 6v6. It would be the easiest way to dip into the 6v6 water without most of the downsides. Doesn’t increase queue time, balance really doesn’t matter, and the main point of the mode is fun anyway. And if the mode suddenly increases dramatically in player count because of it maybe the 5v5 vs 6v6 should really be tested

Suggestion: Blizzard should add an unranked mode. Make it the same rules as comp, ie. both teams get a chance at attacking/defending, the game time changes, etc. Move the leaver penalties from QP to this mode and make it so QP has none. This makes QP the casual mode it is without a worry of a timeout if they have to leave.

Suggestion: When a new map comes out. Just for the first week They should have a seperate section in the quick play menu with a mode just for the new map so that players can try out the new map. I still haven't gotten Runasapi a single time in the rotation and it's annoying not being able to play the new map when a new season drops.

Game suggestion: tanks should have role passive called last stand which gives tanks a 3 sec immortality field when there hp drops significantly (300 to full hp minus 1) in 1 sec when health is above 300 obviously. The immortality would automatically trigger and notify supports that the tank needs healing. long cool down. My take: Tanks is the role that places the player in the most risk at the front of the team, needing to make space. It obviously makes sense that tanks shouldn’t be overwhelmed immediately if they make these kinds of plays. Compensation: damage reduction 20%.

suggestion: the devs should rely lean into lw being a main support sort of as the hybrid between brig and lucio. speed for a few seconds after platform could enhance flankers yet not effective as lucio along with his blossom heals enhancing dive/flanker playstyle yet not effective as brig packs.

SUGGESTION: remove ALL one shot. In cases like widow have the shot deal near critical damage and then poison. So there is a chance to be healed but otherwise it will still kill. For hanzo, let him hit the trigger again after 1 second to deal additional damage to the target he hit.

Suggestion: Lifeweaver's healing blossom should charge on it's own without you holding the button, you just click the button to send it and wait for next one to change, instead of holding the button every time you need to heal someone, I think this way his healing would be less clanky. Maybe it should do less healing as a compensation

What I'm proposing is make it that healing blossoms always charge on their own and you just need to click your primary fire once to just send them to teammates

Suggestion: allow Hanzo to enter a focus mode where he gains a zoom in. It wouldn't slow down time like other games do, but it'd give him a way to compete against widow aim-wise.

Suggestion : Map Effects? Like Sandstorm or smth In anubis to distort Vision ; I mean this in an arcade game , and Maybe Heroes from that Area would have some sort of Advantage like a map or something , I just want to see something for maps to be Themselves and differentiated even between their modes (as in Maps that are 2CP differentiate between each other) , Blizzard world would be fun with a firework type of thing , and just to repeat as an Arcade mode!

Heres why. 1. I would like to be able to position the critical information closer to the center of the screen. Having to glance to the edges of the screen to get updates on vital information is unpleasant. 2. I personally think Valk would be better as a button with a say 20 sec cd and 2/3 of its current time. You typically only use res once a fight anyway, may as well be the ult. 3. If baps lamp were on ult it could have a higher hp, longer active time, higher threshold, and/or a sheild for the lamp. If his wall were on button then it could have a shorter up time with a 12-15 sec cd.

I'd say bring back Parting Gift but change it so it damages enemies for 75. They can take out Lifeweaver just be careful where they do it. And/Or lower the heal to 75, only allies can interact with it, but it now also drops from eliminated Petal Platform and Tree of Life, tree's overheal could also be replace with it spawning a Parting Gift with each pulse, launched to the furthest ally in range of it.

suggestion: idk if its been said but let lw pull corpses. ik, very niche, and im biased as a lw main. but it adds a bit of synergy with mercy. another downside is it would ONLY be for mercy to help rez and thats it. i cant think of another instance where a hero can do something for the benefit of one other hero in the game. but maybe if they add more heroes that could do something with corpses it could be interesting. edit: to add to this. what do you think of echo being able to duplicate enemy corpses?

Suggestion: Orisa's abilities are boring, she just sits there and cycles her tanking abilities. Change javelin spin from being a damage mitigator to being a giant fan she can use to push away enemies, and give it alot more movement speed. Remove the stun from javelin throw and increase its damage and knockback Take away fortifies slow, its overhealth and headshot mitigation. Have orisa just rely less on absorbing damage and more movement and play making abilities, but dont let javelin spear become a oneshot and make fortify a less loaded ability.

He did mention this before, and nailed it. I agree with your frustration, however, if you don't drop rank, the enemy team wouldn't be able to rank up aswell. Unfortunately it's just part of the balance. Leavers stink.

Leavers are terrible but this can be abused. Somone can have a friend make a smurf account and if they start losing, the friend will just leave the match so the other player won't lose SR.

correct an arrow cant bend air like a bullet. On top of that a gorilla cant talk, people cant blink between dimensions, people cant be brought back from the dead, robots cant gain consciousness, etc.

Suggestion: Include every players stats in the match, even players that left the game. I know the stats only matter so much. But I never understand why when a player leaves, their stats are wiped from the game and do not show up in game reports. Even if a player leaves a QP match their stats should be viewable post match so players can see the whole story of the game, not only the story from when a player back filled. Always seemed really strange to me.

Suggestion - Give Sym Teleporter have a turret built into it to make turret bombs more powerful. Then remove the slow from the turrets as it makes it more annoying and people hate sym enough as she already is. To counteract the nerf you could add more hp to the turrets.

Heroes can receive beneficial effects such as damage boosts, damage reduction, healing, healing boost, overhealth, attack rate boost, shortened cooldowns, reload speed boost, Zarya bubbles, immortality, intangibility, cleanses, revives, speed boosts, being pulled to safety, but nano boosting my turret (who can get none of those effects) to get 450 effective hp with 88 dps for a few seconds on my stationary, helpless baby is what we find objectionable????? Pickable passives is part of why games such as Paragon (epic games) failed. You don't know what you're up to as you can't see what they're carrying.

Suggestion: Make Rein 10% faster. Fast enough to catch up with enemies but not fast enough to outrun most movement skills if they're used well. Just to make it not as effortless to outrun him. 20% is probably a bit too much, but 10% should be an ample buff to help him actually be able to play.

Overwatch has a CCs thinking balance can save the game problem. Competitive isn't nearly as important as people think and they need to focus way more on casual players, fun gamemodes, ridiculous additions to the game than endlessly prolonging the same tug of war match that weve been stuck with for 8 years now. Of course the game is dying. Its not evolving at all. So the PvE failed? Get over it. Find a new way to innovate. The perfect competitive balance will never bring players back to Overwatch.

Suggestion: Players who had a leaver on their team shouldn't lose their ranking (or at least receive less demotion). It's frustrating to go down in ranking because of the unfair disadvantage of having one less teammate. If there was more leniency for the players who stayed in the ranked game, it'll be less frustrating
