The fact that it runs at 1080p 60 on dock and the only downgrade in handheld mode is a slightly lower resolution scale, means that it's even easy for the Switch to run, despite looking stunning

Hey now don't give up just yet, the modders may have removed the spinning cylinder for now. But there maybe still hope for spinning cylinder to comeback after all Bowser Castle is still in progress so not official yet. (Praying that modders don't remove spinning cylinder).

That gliding ramp would kind of keep the kart from making it on the cylinder. Maybe making the track a bit wider after the 270° turn to cut the ramp in half and provide an access to the cylinder could work out? I'm not fundamentally against having several ways to cross that gap to be honest.

To be honest I think it's a pretty neat twist on the original track, no really thought of cruising through the town in reverse. But the risk of crossing an AI opponent with a big gap going the opposite way might be annoying for some.

You know what track I'd like to see be remade? It's not a Mario Kart track, but rather from another kart racer... probably the most ambitious and innovative kart racer ever made. That track would be Graveyard Gig from Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed. The reason why I'd recommend that track is because it's really the only one in the game that has a dynamic layout but doesn't outright require boats or aircraft. There is a boating section but it's very similar to Piranha Plant Slide as it goes through a sewer section.

No disrespect to the one who remade Bowser's Castle, but you can tell that remake is really rough with the lighting and lack of spinning hallway. Plus it really did make me think, if Nintendo actually did bring back DS Bowser's Castle except the big spinning cylinder, a key component in the identity of this rendition of this track archetype, was replaced with just another glider segment, I'm pretty sure people would be LIVID. But I'm sure this track remake could have its kinks ironed out to make it the stellar remake we've never gotten in a real Mario Kart.
