I feel like SaberLeomon could also work as a mega level courage digivolution for Gatomon. Not only because lions are generally culturally associated with bravery and courage, but also because Gatomon's mittens are made from SaberLeomon data, not unlike how Gabumon's coat is made from Garurumon data. As for her ultimate level digivolution, Mihiramon could fit the bill for a variety of reasons.

That's an excellent insight! I can totally see the parallels of Gatomon evolving into SaberLeomon like Gabumon evolving into Garurumon. I wonder what crest, besides Courage, that could make Gatomon evolve in that direction and what it would further evolve into? For me, if Gatomon's the champion and SaberLeomon's the perfect, I can totally see Baihumon being the mega in this evolution line. This way the line is consistently feline and Gatomon's holy potential is realized by it becoming a divine beast in the end, instead of an angel like it does conventionally.

Since you used the Dianamon line for friendship, why not use the Apollomon line for courage? I mean, lions are cats and Apollo is the god of the SUN, and the crest of courage depicts the SUN, also fire cause courage. Maybe even use Gracenovamon for a sort of personal omnimon.

I absolutely support Venusmon and LovelyAngemon as picks here. I think the one I was most surprised/impressed by was Mermaimon. I wouldn't have considered Mermaimon an Ultimate for Gatomon, usually, but in this specific case of Kari's Gatomon Digivolving with Joe's aquatic Crest of Reliability/Honesty, it's actually perfect.

It's a shame there aren't really any dandelion/tiger-lily/catnip Digimon for Sincerity, or Sealion/Merlion/Lionfish Digimon for Reliability. Would've liked to see more feline Digimon for this one, but to be fair, choices are limited. For the Crest of Love parallels could've been drawn between how Hououmon/Phoenixmon is a holy Digimon, and an equivalent could be the feline Holy Beast Digimon Baihumon. If we wanted to connect the bird aspects then Gryphonmon (Griffins being half eagle half lion), and then Mihiramon, a winged tiger could be the Ultimate level pick for both. For the Crest of Friendship, the stripe patterns, stance and armour placement on Dinotigermon bear a resemblance to the Garurumon line. For the Crest of Courage DoruGreymon has the white coloration of Gatomon and the more Dino/Dragon attributes of the Greymon line. Persiamon/Bastemon/Beastmon, despite being in conflict with Nefertimon, is one of the only cat women Digimon. Baste coming from Bastet, a feline deity of Egypt could maybe fit in with the whole humanoid, holy being Crest of Hope theme, despite being a Virus attribute Digimon.

I had a feeling Lovely Angemon would be here for Tailmon. It may just be my love of Re:Arise showing, but I can't think of a better non-Magna/non-Ophani Mega for our favorite cat than Lovely Angemon. It just works. And as for the connecting stage, I say keep it as Angewoman. After all, angels are often associated with both Light _and_ Hope simultaneously, so it fits.

So your choice of using Sanzomon for Gatomon's Hope Evolution works well. Especially if you were to compare to the Hope Crest to Sanzomon's design. Since you can somewhat see how the top part of the Crest's design resembles Sanzomon's hat while the lower part of its design resembles the golden part of her robe.

You really sold me on Rise/Shine for Gatomon, but that Volcdramon>Cendrillmon connection is too good to ignore imo. Hope wise, I also thought about maybe Manticoremon for the perfect? Could look at it as Gatomon going from beastial from humanoid instead of humanoid to beastial as with Light. If not that, perhaps Weddinmon? I can see it as a LovelyAngemon prevo. Though maybe that's better suited to Love (in the sense of weddings = love and all).

I've always wondered what Gatomon would evolve if leaned more into a feline beast digivolution line. I imagine it evolving into Panjyamon and/or Splashmon: Darkness Mode for it's ultimate, and eventually evolving into Baihumon for it's mega. This way it's aesthetically consistent, since these digimon are all white feline digimon with purple-blue accents in their design. Edit: Not to mention Baihumon being Sovereign means Gatomon's Holy potential is realized too in this digivolution line, but as a divine beast instead of an angel. This digivolution could work for the Friendship Crest, it's beast and ice association fitting in really well, with Panjyamon being the normal heroic evolution and Splashmon: Darkness Mode being the dark evolution.

I usually use Sanzomon as Hudiemon's evolution since one of Sanzomon's attacks references the same thing that Hudiemon is based on. Sanzomon would work so much better as the Knowledge Crest evolution than as the Hope one imo.

For my childhood the fact Gatomon is a Champion Level was the biggest plottwist ever. Never made sense to me that he rookie patamon become the champion angemon but Angewomon which feels like a counterpart is an Ulimate. Personally, Gatomon evolved into Ophanimon in Tri and Ophanimon feels like a more proper mega for her to go along side Seraphimon. Megandramon being a dragon I feel like is already connecting to her brother, the crest of courage and the Digimon associated with it always being dragons that I just feel like that should be her Courage mega. I just think she needs a different ultimate level Digimon between Gatomon and Megandramon. Something that is also a dragon with cat-like features or just keeps some of the same colors from the Champion and the Mega. The rest of them work great I just really want to make Ophanimon the true Light crest mega and Megandramon the Courage crest mega.

Tailmon/Gatomon's evolution tree isn't angelic as most people seem to think; it's devine/Holy/religious creatures from around the world. You have cats, which are seen as holy beasts in most cultures: Nyaromon and Tailmon. Angels, which are holy beings in Abrahamic mythology: Angewomon and Ophanimon. Dragons, which are Holy/Godly beings in Eastern cultures: Holydramon. And dogs, which are companions to most gods from around the world and are considered man's best friend: Plotmon.

What if all other digimon would have a beast AND a humanoid mega? 4 example Wargreymon is the humanoid, what could be the beast mega... or what could be the humanoid garurumon mega?
