My favorite turret sequence is the one in MGS 3 after you fight Volgin. I love it because it is right at the perfect place in the plot. Most of MGS 3 is a stealth game obviously, but near the end you get caught and even though you escape after beating up Volgin the whole stealth approach has obviously failed, so the final sequence begins with you jumping into the side care of a motorcycle and just wasting people with a machine gun because it's the end of the game and it's time to kick some ass. It is so satisfying after spending the entire game hiding and avoiding enemies to just go full Rambo on them. It also works in terms of the plot because the game is a James Bond pastiche and mirrors the part where 007 inevitably gets captured after sneaking into the enemy base and has to fight his way out.

My favorite turret sequences are in Warhammer 40k: Space Marine because you can rip the turret off its mount and take the eternal war to the enemies of man.
@piergiorgiocaroli92014 жыл бұрын
You can do that in lots of games, like Halo and Crysis. Those aren't turret sequences. Those are just turrets for you to use if you want. A turret sequence is when you are forced to use a turret for a period of time.

This games ending signifies one of the annoyances I have with 7th gen games. Many games I've played had cliffhangers that will never be resolved. Bulletstorm, syndicate, inversion, and more. It's just ends up leaving a bitter aftertaste.

The fact that the enemies are these really human looking dudes makes me want to know more about the plot.
@panther189_2 жыл бұрын
So later on in the game you find out your planet is just a dome world connected by trains run by robots for farming reaources presumably. The human like enemies invade your world & either kill or put you into slavery. Which kicks off the story of the main character trying to find out if his daughters still alive. The main character only cares about his daughter. There's even a scene where they find these enslaved children none of them being his daughter & the character snaps thinking everything hes done has been in vain. The co main convinces him to carry on with the misson & keep looking for his daughter which brings us to the end of the game. You fight the leader of the himan like enemies (Lutadores) who's trying to set off the self destruct sequence for the space ship your on. You end up defeating him and falling down a pit starwars style with him. The co main presumably thinks your dead & heads back to earth dome where you find out the main characters daughter has been dead since the beginning😱 then a post credit scene shows the main character crawling back out of the pit of the space ship. but i like to pretend that didnt happen. Makes for a better tragic story

While this game for the most part maintained an air of vagueness with the plot, its ending twist really opened it up for some great potential in a sequel. Without spoiling it, it's revealed that Delgado actually knew something and when you look back on the rest of the game with that knowledge, it's actually quite interesting to see how he conducts himself and you get a sense that he had a motive knowing what he did and used it guiltily. A potential sequel could involve heightened animosity between the two leads, perhaps even pitting them against each other.

I feel like this game doesn't take its gimmick far enough. Whats the point of giving us gravity powers if we can't, say, make people drift endlessly into the sky or crush them into the ground with trapped pockets of gravity? Hell, imagine if you could fly.
@TK-Gaming4 жыл бұрын
Eventually you get a grabby thing so you can toss inverted objects like cars at dudes. Or grab inverted dudes and slam them against your cover for sick melee kills. It has a boss fight that occurs like 3 times that's a bit shit because your partner doesn't help enough but overall it's pretty good. They really want you to play with a second player.

But I know for a fact that at some point in my life I had the game and played it. Did I finish it? Don't recall... Did it suck? No...? Was it any good? Also no...? Quantum Theory is something of a video game anomaly. Right up there with Haze and Fracture.
