Hey everyone! I hope you enjoyed the video! As you can probably tell it’s a little different from my previous videos in style. Instead of a traditional Alternative History where I go through all the different possibilities in a scenario, this video is told from the perspective of a theoretical historian, recalling the events of an alternate WW2 in which Germany and the Axis won the war. Also, yes a more accurate title would be “What if the axis won ww2” but this title is more attention grabby. Fun fact to add to this thanks to my grandfather who was a Marine in ww2. The Fuel depots were JUST fucking uphill, and were close enough to REALLY fuck up the port if it be it from explosion wise or the spread of burning fuel. Now Grandpa was a Tank commander and well educated officer so im gonna trust him on his words to my own father that such a action would have fucked shit up. You combine that with the destruction of the naval yards you mentioned and your basically crippling Pearl Harbor as a port for like a year from large scale operation. It would not stop America long term, but could be enough for Japan to cement power over Indonesia and dig in and build bunkers and coastal fortifications makeing Americas counter attack in the Pacific Theatre a even more brutal affair then it already was.

Unfortunately it’s going to be a bit until part 2. You see, the laptop I use to make these videos completely stopped working earlier this week. I’ve sent in for repairs and it should be back in 3 to 4 weeks. In that time I will be making at least one video but the quality will be less than usual. It was impossible for Germany to win World War II.They made the Gains they did, simply because of Gadvantages in preparation and artillery due to having a despot in charge of a backward economic and political structure who promptly directed all GDP towards military spending for nearly a decade.Secondly, they had 1st mover surprise advantage, just like in World War I. In World War I, it's actually embarrassing that they didn't win, considering they crashed 90% of their troops right through to the doorstep of Paris, giving the Brits and the French, literally no margin for error throughout the next few years, under which to Take calculated risks and try innovative things. They however, had tons of margin for error, as Berlin was not at imminent threat, but they still could not win. This is not commonly mentioned aand the Germans get way to much credit for their performance in the First World War, considering this last factor in mentioning. People should be objective and see just how diffiicult it was for the Brits and the French, haviing to defend Paris backs against the wall, compared to the Germans flexibility. This is not commonly mentioned The cats but was a significant advantage a considerable advantage. The fact that they couldn't win the war Under those conditions is pretty embarrassing really, Especially considering they have the largest population, a larger standing army and better natural resources The German generals also pickup sent letters of Defeatism back from the frontline(Including both ththe 1st 2 most senior generals, in charge of the war effort; the 1st was replaced due to having a nervous breakdown in the 1st couple of weeks).The generals were pretty incompetent, until Von Hindenburg started taking over and if the boot was on the other foot and France had crashed through to Berlin, I'm pretty sure the 1st couple of generals, with their weak mentality would not have resisted france getting through to Berlin and ending the war. The French didn't need to replace their general, who showed a brilliant mentality and effectively save Paris, against the odds (Joffre)

My guy, 90% of Germany's troops = 9900000 which wasn't that much bigger than even France's army in ww1. not to mentation that Germany didn't have a world wide empire worth of resources because there were blockaded. Britain and France were Bankrolled by the Americans almost the entire time. Also Germany in ww1 had to defeat the biggest army in the world at the time (Russia) and had to occupy the eastern areas they took. The only nation that gets to much credit in world war 1 is America. Btw Trench warfare makes offensives almost impossible meaning that Germany had arguably less wiggle room than the French or Brit's because they were on a timer due to resources and economic reasons. Although I do agree that it's at least almost impossible for Germany to win in ww2.

@@theusa2317 Okay, you have some valid points, but the resources of the Empire, were of limited use in this war, and there are grey areas because of U-boats preventing much of it coming, including the US supplies, although I agree that the British blockade was much more of an impediment to the Germans. However, it's just a fact that being camped just outside Paris, was the biggest factor in the German ability to have parity throughout the war.You really should look at more recent research and especially the letters from the East German archives from general staff in the German army.They make it clear that Germany saw its blitz through to Paris in 1914 as it's only chance of winning a war in the present or future, and they railroaded the war effort away from the Kaiser for this reason.After they didn't get through, partly due to incompetence of and a consequent nervous breakdown and being replaced, German generals mindsets were completely defeatist and both Moltake and his successor Falkenhayn, as general chief of staff's sent letters back to the Kaiser asking him to surrender, because they considered they had no chance in a longer war. The numbers argument Is secondary, because Russia Was a complete basket case technologically and no threat to Germany, despite their vast numbers. This war"in particular," showed incredible disparity between the wealth and technological capabilities of Britain, France and Germany versus the countries in the East.the German army was easily destroying the Russians with a fraction of its forces and although Austro-Hungarian's are considered the laughingstock of this war, they very much did support Germany in these endeavours in the most crucial way - drawing away significant numbers into combat areas away from German troops, even though these battles would usually be lost by the Austro-Hungarian's. the British were of limited use on the ground initially, because they never had a large standing army, even though the British expeditionary Force definitely was technologically capable and punched above its weight, France, was on its own pretty much to begin with, and according to military letters in East Germany, that's why Germany saw a quick blitzing victory as the only chance, because once Britain was able to train up and redeploy young men, that would make the Altima difference. . Germany was camped just outside Paris for almost the entire war, leaving the Brits and the French no room to try anything innovative or tactically maverick, and this is not given enough credit as a crucial aspect affecting mindsets, strategy and tactics. This was terrible in this wall in particular, because of the shift forward in new technologies, requiring flexibility and attempts at new tactics. Generals from the British and French armies considered that losing Paris meant losing the war entirely, as did the Germans, there was no "falling back", consolidating and counter-attacking - this was the main reason for the Brits and the French pouring shocking numbers of troops into direct combat, NOT this highly propagandised idea that they had no clue how to fight a war with the new artillery.Germany gets way to much credit for its tactics, when it had total flexibility, as having "1st mover advantage" had left Berlin completely safe from attack and hundreds of miles away.
